So, what was your guys' opinion of it? ((If you didn't see it, I'm sure it's on Youtube or Veoh))
Personally, I didn't think it was half bad. Ever since One Piece and Naruto, I've kinda lost hope in dubs. So I was very pleasantly surprised when the voices matched pretty well with the original version. Yeah, Raito's voice could have been deeper, but it is just the beginning, I suspect it'll get deeper as the series goes on and Raito gets older. And Ryuks voice could have been more playful, but, meh. It could be a LOT worse....

i liked raito's voice i think it was prefect for him although ryuk's needed some work but all and all it was very well done i think

Ryuk sounded like a child molester.....
and Raito it was Ichigo from bleach's voice*growls* not that i don't like bleach but damn..... just don't mix the two!

I personally haven't heard it yet, but friends and others have shown mixed feelings, most negative.

XD ah didn't even bother to look they just sound alike to me.. it fustratied me cause bleach was on either right before or after and it cliicked like that to my head. sweatdrop

It wasn't as bad as it could've been; but Ryuk sounded a bit too human, and smart. He's should sound a bit more demonic and confused in my opinion.

It was alright, but I just didn't like it. Ryuk didn't sound 'monster' enough and Light sounded...bleh. The voices just weren't unique. To me it sounded like I've heard them before, especially Light's. :/

I liked Ryuk's voice. I mean, he could have sounded scarier, but Ryuk isn't really a monster-ish character. From what I've seen, eh, I'll have to watch more of it. I think Light could have sounded a little bit more in control, but then again at this point in the anime he has no idea what the ******** (pardon my French) is going on, so the clueless-ness kind of fits.
Mah, we'll see how it works. I still think the best dubbed anime out there is Wolf's Rain.

Hehe... Light sounds funny... I just watched a bit of the anime on Friday (it was the episode when L confronts Light with his amazing Lind L Taylor trick thing) and the slow motion Death Note writing and gloating was hilarious. Oh, and L's fake voice sounded creepy.
Ryuk DOES sound like a child molester. o.o;
