What was your very first guitar? What got you started?

My very first guitar was this really old (at least 30 years) nylon acoustic that my uncle probably bought at a tag sale.

It wasn't much of an axe, but it definitely got me playing.

The legacy of this memorable guitar was when the neck snapped right off the body as I was playing it xp sweatdrop rofl

The guy I took it to didn't think it was worth fixing xp

My first guitar was this Ovation Elec/Acou. I finally figured out what it was too, an Ultra Series 1528. I still play it, it's an awesome guitar.

an old lyon by washburn strat that i decked out with some HEAVY bottomed strings and keep in B-standard tuning.

my first guitar was a shitty Encore Strat, which is now in pieces for spares. I heard the intro riff to Plug in baby by MUSE and thought " i want to play like that". MAtt Bellamy has been my idol ever since.

mine was an Epiphone Les Paul Special II.....it's currently going under the sodering iron for new pick-ups and electronics.....it served it's purpose well

I first started with an old 12 string that only had the regular 6 strings on it. I guess my dad borrowed it from someone a long time ago and I've never played it since. I got an electric that Christmas and that was it. 3 guitars later and here I am, thinking of selling one to get a Petrucci model Musicman guitar. xd

Haha, whoa! I have that guitar! My dad bought it a while back from this crap music store on the corner where the guy rips everyone off stressed

My first guitar was a Les Paul rip off named Hondo... It was decent, but technically it was my dads. So later that summer I bought an Epiphone Hot Rod II Man, that thing played better than a Les Paul I swear! Till I broke the neck off after band practice one day, wasn't fixable, so I took it to a local music store and they gave me 80$ for the body. Wish I never did that. But now I'm a major Jackson fan, got me a Black RR1 (With silver mirror pickguard twisted ), and a Black Kelly. Love them to peices, now I'm also questing for a B-52 head and cabinet.

My first was a First Act... XP

I played it for a month, and then I got good enough to move on. xD It was kinda sad... When I play it now i'm like "Ugh! This thing sucks... the tone's horrible..." xD

I gots an Ibanez RG now smile
