Ok. You know when you are addicted to Doctor Who when:

*you tap out random 4 noted beats that sound like drums

*you find yourself humming the theme song as you walk

*Every time you see a telephone box you have to peer inside

* you wish you had a sonic screwdriver

and last

*The only thing going through your head at this moment is, WHEN IS THE NEW SEASON GOING TO START!!!
PostPosted: Fri Oct 19, 2007 8:54 am

*You feel that every other TV Scifi show is stealing ideas from Dr. Who. (Like Star Trek and Eureka.)

* You are convensed that time is a wibly wobly thingy. (In the world of Zork, the Time Travel map looked like spegetii.)

You know you're a Beatles and Doctor Who fan when -

Every time a fellow Beatles fan says they'd save John Lennon if they had a time machine and you think, "Well, if someone went back in the TARDIS and did that, that would cause a change in history, even if it was small, and would change certain facts that one lives by (being a Beatles fan). Not a good idea." Or when it makes you think of Tegan at the end of "Earthshock" or people going back on their own timelines...And you don't immediately think of just how nutty that is.

1. You say “Fantastic” all the time.

2. You see nothing wrong with spending over five hours searching for “Doctor Who” fanfics.

3. You beg a relative to make you a Fourth Doctor Style long multi-coloured scarf, and it works.

4. You spend hours trawling through fanfiction just to save them all on your favourites... and you have at least a hundred of them. Filed meticulously under 'Fanfiction', under 'Doctor Who'. And that's just the Rose/Doctor shippy ones.

5. You begin to fantasize about the Doctor during Maths when the teacher is droning on about simultaneous equations.

6. When you're bored you fake illnesses just to hear people say; "You should really go to the Doctor’s."

7. You shut yourself in the bathroom away from the computer in order to force yourself to finish the homework due in tomorrow. Which you end up rushing and messing up anyway in order to catch more fanfictions. NOTHING will drag you away from the computer - not even sunlight or food.

8. Your mobile has a picture of a 1950's/60's blue police box as 'Home' display photo. Said number is stored under the name TARDIS. Said person is not surprised when they are greeted by a scream of delight.

9. You watch Doctor Who reruns so many times, you are able to produce pages and pages of analysis on the facial expressions of all the characters, and you also know every single word in every single episode.

10. Your 'Pictures' files are starting to look suspiciously jammed with wallpapers of the Doctor and Rose, the Doctor, Rose, Martha, Jack, The Master...... (I just counted, I have over 3000 pictures of Doctor Who related stuff)

11. You have an overwhelming feeling of sympathy for giant pepper pots that have been tortured painfully and want to kill everyone, but then become confused with feelings and ship certain relationships.

12. You have the days, hours, minutes and seconds being counted down until the next episode. Nanoseconds may or may not be included in this.

13. Words like 'Hand Porn' 'Shipper!Dalek' 'Squeeee!' and 'TARDIS' make sense and are becoming part of your everyday vocabulary- to the confusion of your unenlightened friends.

14. Nothing makes you happier than hearing the opening ‘wooooooEEEEEEEEoooooooo' music, and you sing said music absent-mindedly, much to the annoyance of everyone nearby.

15. You compulsively refresh the official Doctor Who site to see if they've updated it. You cry when they don't.

16. You secretively read fanfic or go on your Doctor Who forum in your little corner at work/school and quickly flip to another window on the computer whenever someone comes over to the printer to get something.

17. You re-arrange your whole Saturday so you can be in front of the TV at 7.

18. Someone walks past with a plunger and you can’t stop laughing.
-
19. You dance insanely, jumping up and down, around the room when anything Doctor Who related appears.

20. You find yourself turning almost every conversation to Doctor Who related matters.

21. You can't eat after 6:30 on a Saturday as you're sick with anticipation.

22. You had a school presentation and they mention Doctor Who. The entire school turns around to stare at you jumping up and down in your seat.

23. When there is anything Doctor Who related at school, your friends think you are held resonsible for it.

24. Most of the time, you ARE responsible.

25. Everyone knows you as the "Doctor Who Girl"

26. You get Teachers stopping you in corridors to ask you something they were confused about in Doctor Who.

27. Your Media Studies teacher starts a topic on Science-Fiction, and asks you to bring in a Doctor Who tape, as she knows you have millions at home.

28. You write "BAD WOLF" everywhere. You even wrote it on a wall when you visited Cardiff.

29. You have strange dreams and someone Doctor Who related always turns up in it somehow....

30. You can't actually remember your life before Doctor Who.

That's enough for now. I'll add more later. 3nodding

You write Doctor Who fanfictions for english class.

All of your "inside jokes" seem to beDoctor Who related.

You find it hard not to giggle when you have a Doctor's appointment.

You spend math class scribling pictures of David Tennant (Guilty as charged >_>)

* When you absentmindedly draw Daleks on your binders during class

* When you quote the Doctor randomly in the middle of conversations.
"I feel so depressed today." "Did you try reversing the polarity of the neutron flow?" rofl

* When you whistle the theme song under your breath.

* You tape old episodes just so you can watch them repeatedly.

* You made a sonic screwdriver as your final progect in shop class (with a working light and everything)

* You took up knitting just to make the fourth doctor's scarf for yourself

* It took weeks of inginuity, but you figured out how to make a Dalek suit from everyday, houshold items. A suit which you will don when halloween rolls around. biggrin

* Just the opening notes of the theme song are enough to set your heart racing.

- When you're in an office meeting and the lead manager catches you giving the Master's 'elated-thumbs-up' look to your fellow Who-phile. (Which then led to odd looks and me having to shake my head, mouthing, "Nevermind" and then sinking low in my seat.)

- When you're in a different office meeting and you and your fellow Who-phile both find yourselves tapping a la The Sound of Drums.

- "I can has TARDIS" can reduce you to tears.

- Lunch at work on Monday consists of the latest Doctor Who episode.

- You have to make a valient effort not to cackle your head off while listening to audio Who!slash at work.

- Your next Big Project is to replicate one the clockwork drones from Girl in the Fireplace in time for next year's Dragon*Con. (Anyone know where I can get lace...cheap?)

*When you think of a cool story and get half way through until you realize that you got your idea from Doctor Who. (Done it soooooooo many times)

*Randomly tapping The Sound of Drums on desk at school, making everyone look at you funny.

And I do want a scarf like that. biggrin I'll make one some day.
