Despite the fact that he was a drug addict for a while, he was always very nice and funny. That he kicked the habit makes me respect him a whole lot, and he just got nicer and funnier after that. Then he took responsibility for Aaron to help Claire, and would do anything for her. Then, at the very end, he sacrifices himself to save Claire, Aaron, and everyone else, even though his death was horrible. crying
He is a hero! I miss him so much! gonk

I didn't have much of an attachment to Charlie, though the first time I saw him hanging in that tree, my heart sank. Words couldn't describe how shocked I was during that epic scene.
I partially despised him for picking on Hurley. He got uptight over the things that Hurley told him in confidence, even though he was the one to probe and ask questions. He got a taste of his own medicine when Locke hurled a few fists at him, even though the circumstance was over an entirely different matter. I guess it's what happens when people refuse to hear your side of the story.
