Let me start off by saying that the reason I want to join this guild is because it has that mix of comedy and seriousness that I like ^^.
My character makes use of two forms, so there will be two different "Appearance" descriptions. Only one "Misc." description will be needed though.
Appearance for Double's puppet:
Name: Double
Age: Looks to be about 20, real age is somewhere between 90-100.
Hair: Short, rough, dark brown, but not visible underneath the hat he always wears.
Eyes: Solid Onyx - no pupils.
Skin: Almost a ghostly pale despite time in the sun.
Build: Quite frail looking.
Weight: 150 lbs
Height: 5'8"
Unique: Wears a peculiar two-tailed jester hat. It is black, with white spots on it and white balls on the tips.
Appearance for Double's true form:
Name: Double (NO WAI!)
Age: Technically born the moment the first negative thought ever spawned in someone's head. His actual being came into existence thousands of years ago, however... (not to sound godlike ^^")
Hair: N/A
Eyes: Solid onyx. Surrounding colour is a stain-like yellow
Skin: N/A
Build: N/A
Weight: Changes constantly
Height: Changes constantly
Unique: Double's true form is an almost perfect spherical shape with a single eye that opens where he pleases. In this form, he can extend tentacles that seem to stretch out to infinite lengths. Due to what Double is (a giant, condensed ball of negative emotions), he is able to bring out the true strength of those he possesses (unless their powers are based on good thoughts or something).
Miscellaneous:
Personality: A twisted sadist and just plain greedy, Double is simply the very feelings he is made up of (more on that in his history). He is perpetually angry, bitter, and envious of almost everything that breathes. When it comes to manipulating people however, that changes. He can be sweet as candy dipped in sugar and as helpful as absolutely necessary.
History: Double is the product of an optimistic, but foolish magician. This magician was tired of the many negative emotions of the world. Anger, hatred, jealousy, envy, and so on. He came up with the idea of using a spell to simply drain people of all these emotions. In a case of leaping before looking, he did just that (only to a small population however...just a town). Unfortunately, such strong emotions couldn't simply be destroyed. So, the magician tried sealing them away in a box, Pandora-style. It worked...for a mere 5 years.
The emotions began to take shape, and thus, Double was born. He, gifted with his own powers, easily broke the seal, escaping his prison. Since he was a giant bundle of emotions, he quickly discovered his ability to possess bodies, and following the very thoughts he was made of, he wanted to become all powerful. There was but one problem. Despite his ability to make his "puppets" all powerful, they would simply waste away after a certain amount of time. This annoyed Double, and he knew what to do about it. He sought out the magician that had sealed him away, and possessed him. Using his knowledge of magic amongst other things, he was able to produce a young-looking body that did not age (of course, a few things, like the magician himself, had to be sacrificed in the end). From then to now, this has been Double's body.
Of course, this wasn't enough. Despite the body being ageless, it had no true powers to bring forth, what with it not being alive. In fact, Double found his soul form much more powerful. So now, he searches the world for new and stronger bodies to control. Incidentally, the puppet he now uses allows him to feel human needs such as hunger, pain (likes it in a strange way), and others things like that.
Hobbies: Destruction where convenient, reading, searching out new bodies
Likes: Strength, strong people, old ruins, has an odd affinity for chocolate flavoured items
Dislikes: Weaklings, just about everyone, being called a parasite (seriously. He'll freak)
Special abilities:
1: Possession - While Double usually does this only in his spirit form, he is able to send out a tentacle (literally) of his negative energy to another being and possess them with it. This tentacle is invisible to the naked eye, but can be sensed or seen by a different kind of eye. Also, this particular form of possession forces Double to multi task (he's not very fond of doing that), and therefore, his control over the tentacled victim won't be as strong as it would be if he possessed it with his actual soul.
2: Chill - For only a split second if even that, the vicinity Double is in has all warmth taken from it, making the temperature dip well below -20 degrees. This can go a bit lower, but will require Double to use a little more power.
3: Dark fear - a mental trick. Those with strong minds (especially psychics) will be unaffected. An 'invisible' tentacle (see possession) is quickly jabbed into a target. While the target won't feel the jab, they'll be hit with a sudden and powerful terror, like all of their fears have arisen at once, and won't leave.
4: Tentacles - Simply a physical attack with one of Double's tentacles, whether it be a stab, a swipe, or otherwise. The tentacles can be morphed into axes, blades, or spike covered poles.
5: Shade blast - A blast resembling black lightning is fired at a target. This attack is capable of splitting midway to hit multiple targets. It will be weaker in doing so, however.
Double still works to discover any other talents he has to this day, so something new can arise (though it will most likely be chaotic and backfire somehow).
