I tried out the Takamine EGSF15SC at the music store today. It plays great, feels great, looks great, and sounds pretty good on an amp.
Specs:
# Body Shape: Cutaway Dreadnought # Rosette: Turquoise & Wood # Top: Solid Spruce # Inlays: Turquoise & Wood # Back: Solid Sepele # Sides: Sepele # Fingerboard: Rosewood # Bridge - Rosewood # No. of Frets - 20 # Electronics: N4B # Tuners: Chrome & Pearl # Features: Native American Rosette Motif
Photo:

Here's the URL to its profile: http://takamine.com/?fa=series&sid=524
Any opinions? How good would you say the wood is?
Thanks!

Does it sound good on it's own? Think of how often you'll plug it in compared to the hours you'll practice with it. If it doesn't sound good on it's own it may not be a joy to play (I'm not trying to bring you down, I'm just asking a question you may not have).

It looks like a good guitar to me, I'm just not into the shape. That's why I got the Schecter.

Specs sound all right. Though in my opinion if it plays well, and it sounds good, then who gives a s**t about the specs?
How much does it cost? Also, is that a classic or steel string? The tuners kinda threw me off... lol
