Story line
The year is 3020, it has been three years since the famous time machine has been released to the public. But wait, suddenly all time machines have been recalled when a team of historians and trained scientist go missing after using the strange scientific powers of the time machine. These scientist and historians find themselves trapped within ancient Egypt with now way out. Most of all though, they find magical stones, which do not apply to the world already proven fact: magic does not exist. How do these strange stones hold power? Are there really Gods that control everything around them? Why is it that at times things that shouldn’t be logically possible end up happening? And the very threat that hangs over each person’s head, will they ever survive long enough to get back home? With just the basic material, no help from the natives, how are these people to get back? The greatest scientists in the entire known world have at last made a stunning discovery; time machines are possible! Everyone wants to own one! But the disappearance of the historians is greatly troubling. The best scientist in the world are once again having to prove their genius by attempting to bring back their group of lost adventurers by cunning means. How will this happen, will it effect history as it now stands? In this role-play you are the ones to either be a historian trapped in time with scientists, or you can be the scientist that stay behind to over view the time machine on how it works. When the others go missing it is up to you to put together once again a team that can allow the others to come back. You have a limited time until all is lost in history; think you can make it?
Historians: You want to find out the “hows” in evolution, but something goes terribly wrong as everyone starts to travel through the past. They can’t go any farther then the time of ancient Egypt before 100 A.D. Your team is stuck in the B.C era with nothing but inborn skill for tracking the facts and small survival packs made for very primitive livings. Is it worthwhile to stay in Egypt while history works all around you? Or do you wish to suddenly go back, now that you find going back to far is impossible…
Scientist: The scientists are challenged by the Egyptians belief in Gods! Ancient stones they posses give strange powers to those who used them. Your job is to figure this all out, whether finding out that magic truly does exist or if this is all in your imagination.
Gods: While you watch the travelers try to obtain passage through time once more you act as the narrators. When something happens you review it and can put obstacles in the way of those trying to go forward in time. The stones you sent to earth are only apart of your plan for showing these “foolish mortals” that not everything is as it seems. Will they listen as the priests suggest? Or will they turn their backs on the truth condemning them to live in the ancient Egyptian times. (For a list of the Gods I will post a link.)
People of Egypt: You can interact with those who came from 3020, but you must not know anything about them! They confuse you and make things complicated because they don’t believe in the Gods. You go about daily lives with challenges either brought in by the gods or by the everyday challenges of life. There can be a pharaoh who rules all that also will play a part with the scientists and historians. Basically all you have to do is follow the outline into a world filled with strange magic that is not quite like in fearie tales, and also anything else that leaps from the imagination as long as it stays historically accurate as possible. I don’t want this going over board.
Rules
1) No God modeing! Even as a god you can be hurt or challenged within the Gods court yard meetings or even messing around with your own whimsical selves (this is because Gods in egypt happen not ot be like, actual Gods... more like idols of worship. xD )2) Try to follow historical knowledge as you go along with this role-play. If your character is from 3020 I can understand if they’re a bit different. In fact, they should be REALLY different.
3) No over dose of romance! The cheesy stuff gets to me, sorry. Its okay if you do just keep it pg-14! And be consederate of the other person or something like that...
4) When playing beware VERY aware, that things are different here!! This is a different time, a different place please don’t make it too much of the 21st century (please). People don’t talk like “What’s up?” Or “How ya been?” Or even “Yeah, the day was cool!” They used a different way of speaking, if you can’t get the many rift of what I’m saying its fine... I'm just trying to get sure you get the point of little or no slang if your going to be someone egyptain born.
5) Okay, last rule; follow the rules that are already apart of this site. If they say not to do a certain something, you don’t do it! Other then that you’re all set to go if you follow what’s already been listed.
6) Be literate. Or try to be. Do your best please! Spell checking and grammar checking is MUCH apperciated.
7) No flamming. Be considerate. Follow ToS and guild rules.
