Take in mind, some of these ideas have been done before, in this guild even. I'm just gonna bump it up to a full guild rather than a part time deal.

Well me either, but I lack the funds AND the responsibility, AND the drive to make all of these guilds. Hell, I dont even know if I'll be able to run one correctly.

Medieval-Fantasy!

I think you should delve into something never done before...

Like western/superheros or what have you. That would rule. They could have fancy names like Sharpshooter and Gunslinger and Quick-draw.

Western was actually the one genre I was NOT going to bring the superheroes into.

Zombies, possibly.

Medieval, maybe.

Western... no. We've proven time and again in this guild just how useless guns are gonna be.

xd Westernish-scifi was one direction I was thinking of taking this guild, once we finished off with the superhero bit. Though, I dunno how westernish it is anymore. I have some weird crazy plots going on in my head at the moment. >.>

...The Two-Gun Kid, anyone..? It's been done. Limited success, only works if you take superpowers out of it. I could explain, but I'd rather direct you to The Adventures of Rangergirl and assorted C-run comics, and well as Indys, and the time certain Marvel heroes went back in time. Only way to make that one work is to have gunners with no powers of their own (unless they are secretly fighting lycanthropy, Indian curses, unusual drug addictions, etc.) fighting monsters. Not as easy for them to win, which makes it better, but all the greats of the Old West were shortlived. Don't expect long-term heroes with that, or a great many adventures.

I have no idea what you should do for a guild, so I won't vote.

That entirely depends on what you consider "western." I think heading out into uncharted wilderness, with limited supplies, and a plan to colonize wild land, can be a pretty good western based platform. Perhaps something on the lines of the gold rush. The clash of different cultures thrown in there too, and a bit of farming/mining/and good ol' desert land with snakes and boots. Guns are cool and all, but not necessary for western.

Small, isolated town with limited resources, a rough terrain, sexy outlaws, attractive lawmen, good ol' saloons and card games, now there's a western.

....>.> but I still don't think I'd combine western/superheroes, it could be interesting, and I'm not saying it wouldn't work ---as if I ever say something wouldn't work, but it would need a lot of detailing and limits.

Ha. Sexy outlaws and attractive lawmen. I see what kind of Westerns you like. cool

You realize everyone would automatically be saying they character is sexy vs. attractive vs. somehow ugly based on what group they put they character in.

Question in general: Is the plan for this guild to literally END everything for this world/storyline, or to change stuff massively while retaining the same characters? For example, exiling people from Earth to Sahira's world after some fun plot twisting with no hope of return? Or DIM-twisting, that can also be fun. Would give you a possible way back with your card games, though.

Well, Im undecided on that.

If I were to do a continuation from this guild, it would be zombies.

I'd bring back the ones from before, but make them not really weak. It'd take a lot more than fire to kill them. Hell, maybe even make them strong to the point where a 1 on 1 would just not work.

Like the agents in The Matrix.

Oh yeah, it's never hard to tell what kind of westerns I like. cool

I'm still debating all the details, honestly. I never say "No you cannot use the same characters RAwr!" But I think that this world/storyline is ready to be finished to some extent. I might keep a thread or two open, just for fun continuation of it (like Sahira's thread), but the further we go with this world the more complicated things get. It's hard, with all of our characters already having emotional ties or background with pretty much everyone else, and it starts becoming the same routine over and over again. I think a lot of people would be quite enthused to start off fresh again.

I was leaning towards the same world to some extent, but far into the future. If someone wanted to use an old character and explain how they got there, that'd be fine. I intend to use new ones. However, I might have some "guest" visitors every now and then. mrgreen

What is DIM-twisting?

I was thinking of basically doing what I had hoped it would be when you did the zombie attack.

As for starting over in this guild, that'd be fun. As you know, I have quite a few characters running around in my mind that I could put to good use.
