He was growing more and more irritable as the hours passed. The scent of sweetness he had been following after that run-in with the foolish stallion had long since faded into the distance, and the mutant was determined that he'd find the candy kalona before nightfall. There was no doubt in his mind that one or all of his offspring would be after her blood, and if anyone was to kill Diabetia, it would be him. Torment, he knew, had a strong detest of the Mother she wished to disown, as well as Tarnish knew the possessiveness his paternal figure showed towards the mare. The only one Plague expected to leave the kalona alone was Taint, that worthless mare of a stallion.

The branches scraped against his sides and he gritted his teeth as they rubbed against his open markings. There was no time to pay any heed to his environment; his sole focus was relocating the scent he had been tracking. Dark hooves ignored the dozens of rats accompanying him and they continued to carelessly ground out any rodent that dared move into his path. Hollow eyes continued their searching, his nose attempting to be more active than ever in search for the sweet smell overcoming his own rotting stench.

Where in the hell was she?!

If Desdemona had had palms, she would have been rubbing them together. Oh, this was just too good of an opportunity to pass up. Here fishy, fishy. Come take the bait, she purred internally, watching Plague stalk about through the Soquili lands. Lazily, the Skinwalker shifted back to her uncursed form, and took a detour through a stream. With any lucky, that would rid her of a good bit of her foul stench, and the mutant would not be warned to her presence. Come out, come out, wherever you are she crowed, and walked into an open clearing among the trees. She pretended that she had no notion of his proximity. Her orange eyes glittered with malicious intent, but also with an amusement that bordered on sadistic. Oh, she remembered well her last meeting with the cocky, foolish creature. He had gone after her prey. He had dared to touch what was rightfully hers. Not that anything was.

A smirk crossed her lips for a moment, and she contemplated the innumerable ways in which she could cause him pain. There was much to be said for having a cruel, chaotic mind. It allowed for a creativity that could be found in no other place. Would he be so foolish, so unforgivably stupid as to view her as anything less than a threat? Would he take the bait? Perhaps. That had yet to be seen. If it came down to a fight, she was more than prepared. By now, she had more than cut a swathe through the Soquili herds, and feared no one and nothing. Such as he would expect fear. No doubt he thrived on it. He would have to learn his place in life. Below her. All things, all creatures took up that space, that place. Lowering her head, she began to graze, by all appearances deeply engrossed in her own thoughts and paying attention to nothing but the grass which she devoured.

The afternoon sun was growing brighter through the trees up above, signaling to the stallion that he was nearly out of the forest.

"About damn time," he muttered, pushing past another low branch in his way. The remnants of blood and bits of flesh from the gray stallion in his mouth had aided in easing the soreness of his jaw, but the warm taste and sensation of the blood was quickly diminishing as his tongue continued to seek out its flavor. It wouldn't be long before the ache and pain would return, and hopefully by then, he'd have found the mare he was searching for.

All at once, his nose picked up on the scent of another, but this lacked the sweet touch of sugar he had been expecting to smell. Was this yet another stallion who would dare get in his way again? He didn't have time for this, not at all.

Growling, he neared the area where the scent grew stronger, his wings drawing out and pushing against the tree limbs as he passed by, preparing for yet another attack on an overly prideful stallion. An eyebrow raised, however, as a young mare came into view. Grazing on the grass in the clearing, she had obviously been distracted with her own thoughts, as she seemed to be unaware of his approach.

A toothy grin spread wide across his face as one black hoof took another step forward. Now this was more than suitable for a momentary delay. Mares weren't nearly as strong as their gender counterparts, so it would be fairly easy to take her down and take what flesh he wanted from her to linger in his jaws. Her slim neck looked appealing enough; perhaps he would try for that area first.

Taking another step forward, he debated on saying anything at all to alert her of his presence, but in the end decided that the army of rats heading in her direction would be suffice.

Good. He was so easily falling into her trap. Desdemona stretched slightly, and shifted her weight, lifting her head from the grass. She moved, walking forwards, and coming to a small patch of flowers. She seemed to be occupied innocently enough, munching on what delicacies were to be found amid the grassy area of the clearing. The flowers managed to sweeten her scent slightly, further removing any trace of her true nature. It amused her that Plague was stalking her. There were many young, normal Soquili that knew her by her looks alone now. He should have known better, but he did not. His greed was making him careless.

When the first little rat came and nipped at her heels, she feigned fear, and startlement. She shied away from it, dancing in place. Her body language told all watchers that she was a young, delicate thing, unused to such indignities and pains. She shivered (quite intentionally) and backed away from the rodent. The mare did not speak, for she was not yet sure of her voice. Would it give her away, or would it serve her purposes? She had become skilled in playing the game of pretend, but her emotions, her true emotions, might show when she spoke. But then again, they might not. Soon, very soon, she would be putting that to the test. Seemingly unknowingly, she backed away towards the mutant.

As the young mare began to back up, Plague couldn't believe his luck. Was this mare honestly too stupid to realize he was directly behind her? The rats made the desired effect of revealing themselves to her, but it brought him a surprise of delight to see that his own presence hadn't been revealed just yet. And not only that, but she was even assisting him in walking towards him!

Hollow, empty eyes roamed over the mare's body, and for a change, the stallion thought of other urges to sate than his own never-ending hunger. How long had it been since he had taken Diabetia? Or any other mare for that matter? He enjoyed it when they put up a fight, but this new element of surprise seemed like a fun thing to attempt as well.

Soft lavender hair caressed against her reddened back, her yellow body quivering a bit, no doubt out of repulsion from the rats at her hooves. Oh, if she only knew what was coming to her...

Letting out a feral growl, his outstretched wings gave a push, aiding him in lifting up his heavy body. His legs aimed in the mare's direction, he knew it'd be only a matter of seconds before she discovered his presence and his intentions. Sure, if he missed, he could force himself upon her, but being the element of surprise made the attempt even more deliciously wicked, in his mind.

Desdemona made a small, frightened sound when she collided directly with Plague, the growl still ringing in her ears. She shivered, and made was seemed to be every effort to get out of his way. Of course, her current vantage point was quite convenient, all things considered, and she was fully prepared for whatever he might throw at her. She twisted away from him, making as if to run and 'stumbled' on a fallen tree limb. Presumably, she had not yet seen him, but the idea of something larger than the rats so near frightened her. ... Yes. Frightened. That was the word. Internally, she smirked, and waited for him to do something particularly foolish. To try something that would, in due course, put him into a very, very poor position. Her lavender hair she shook back, revealing the patterns on her neck as she stumbled in an attempt to get away from him. Her attempt was quite abortive, and only resulted in backing her against a tree. Little did he know that that was precisely what she wanted. He could not have guessed, and she felt no need to inform him of her reasoning.

He grunted, frustrated, as she managed to skitter away like some spooked foal. And yet, she still managed to not take into account his actual presence being there? Maybe she was mentally defected, if she didn't even realize what Plague was.

Or maybe she's just a mare, he thought to himself as he grinned, taking another step forward. So the element of surprise had been foiled, but it was no great loss. He could still get what he wanted from her, be it primal urges or food; he'd just have to put a little more effort into it than before.

He watched as she backed herself against a tree. How wonderful she was, to take care of these ideas for him. He would simply treat this as he had the previous stallion he'd fought only hours before, and pin her against the tree. At least this way, she couldn't bolt and run like earlier.

A low snarl escaped from his lips as he walked towards her. The rats were going crazy, not understanding why their master hadn't torn into the mare already, spilled the blood and meat they desired to feast upon. But Plague ignored them, as he always did, and concentrated on the female in front of him. He was going to have so much fun with this one.

It was then that Desdemona saw him. With a pitiful, terrified little whimper, she tried desperately to get away from Plague. He was horrifying to behold, a truly gruesome, loathsome beast. The broken horn, sunken eyes, and almost skeletal frame lent him a macabre aura which left the young mare almost completely, hysterically frightened. She sidled backwards, and hit the tree, hard. She was, she realized, completely, and utterly trapped. "No," she moaned, seeing death in his gaze.

"No, no, no!" she cried fitfully, taking in the sight of the rats and their horrid master. His foul wings arched above him, and she shook with fear (or, in reality, suppressed laughter). She did not want the nightmarish creature to come so near to her. Let him leave. Let him think her unworthy of his... attentions. Was her breathing perhaps a trifle too fast? Her heart rate similarly sped up? In those haunted eyes, there was the faintest glint of humor, but it was deeply, deeply hidden, and there was little chance that he would recognize it as such.

She was frightened, and it excited him.

Dark nostrils flared as he watched her shake and quiver against the tree. His grin grew wider with each step he took closer, his wings expanding even further out. He wanted her more than ever, her fear intoxicating him, making him drunk with the desire for blood and lust. She had every reason to panic, and his tongue slowly lapped at the saliva cultivating around his mouth, his hunger more than evident now.

His ears perked as he heard her soft pleas. Music to his ears, a shudder of pleasure rippled through his spine. Oh, how he was enjoying this, and how he would make every minute last! His eyes watched as her chest began to rise and fall faster and faster. Would she attempt to fight him? Or be too scared to even do anything?

No longer caring, he leaned in closer, wanting his eyes to meet directly with hers as he responded to her sorrowful whimpers. "Oh yes, dear... yes, yes, yes!"

Quaking slightly, the mare pressed back as close as she could get against the tree, and began to beg Plague not to come near her. "Please, please don't. Please..." Desdemona's internal laughter almost became external, almost left her lips, but somehow she managed to keep it in. "Please, I... don't want to hurt." Whether she was speaking of herself or of him remained in question, but in him there would be no doubt. He would see every word, every whispered plea in the light that he wished to see them. "Please, please, no." The light that usually burned in her eyes was for the moment dimmed, hidden away so that it could not yet reveal her to him. No, she needed this time. Time to build things up so that she could take him crashing down with her. She wanted to take him to the deepest depths of hell, of humiliation. And she would succeed. Oh yes. She made a fearful mewl of a sound, and shook with her conflicting 'emotions'. Her eyes seemed to continue her pleading, though she had long since ceased vocalizing her sentiments.

His eyes refocused back on her slender neck as her murmurs haunted his ears. Her skin was teasing him, daring and begging him at the same time to taste her, to take her, to devour her. She probably still tasted like young foal, judging by her age from the way she was acting. Older, more weathered mares would have put up a fight or known to run. Not this one... this one stayed put, and couldn't seem to stop shaking. Despite the hint of odor coming from her, which was no doubt due to himself, she was the most delicious looking treat he had spoiled himself to in a long time. Her body was warm, and he could feel the heat from her skin on him as he closed in, his fangs baring.

With that, Desdemona sprang into action. In a blur of motion, she transformed into her cursed form, and kicked out at Plague's wing in such a way as to leave it temporarily crippled. She heard a sharp, loud snap, and knew that she had connected. The Skinwalker rounded on the mutant, leaving him no room to get away for now. "No, you foolish creature," she purred, nonchalantly drawing his blood,"I don't believe I will be submitting to you today or any other day." She slammed him against the tree, shredding some feathers away with her teeth. "Now, what to do with you, I wonder..." her tone was entirely predatory, fiercely amused.

Laughter burst out of her lips like a beast who had been waiting, begging to be released, and the darkness of her soul poured over, suddenly giving her a dangerous, deadly presence. "Did you truly, truly think that every innocent young thing is what it seems? Nothing is what it seems, you horrendously stupid stallion." Oh, but she would teach him what he was. She would teach him his limitations, for all that he did not deserve the lessoning. She really ought to just let him go on being stupid, and get himself killed. But for now, the lesson was entirely, incredibly enjoyable. And she had every intention of seeing it to its end.

In an instant, like a cold awakening, the warmth, the desire, the enjoyment was gone. In its place came anger, confusion, and pain. Lots and lots of pain. He let out a roar that frightened the birds out of the trees, and the loud crack was not to be missed. Pain shot through his wing and he instinctively drew it close, knowing far too well that there was too much damage done to it for it to be useful any longer. Distracted by his wing, he failed to realize he was being turned about and herded back towards the tree.

Damn skinwalker b***h! He was furious with himself for not catching on sooner to the true identity of his opponent, but even more furious with what the mutt had managed to do to him. Before he could respond verbally or physically, however, the air was blasted out of him as he was rammed up against the tree by the smaller creature. He grunted as sharp teeth began to tear away at his molting wings, the pain shooting up, overpowering his mind.

"Things...are...what they seem." he managed to growl out, attempting to regain his breath. "You were... a stupid b***h... as a horse. You're... even more the b***h...now."

PostPosted: Sat Aug 25, 2007 5:10 pm

"Oh yes, fool... I am a b***h, both in the literal meaning of the word and in the figurative sense." She tore at him, leaving slashes and patches where feathers should be, and skin had been. "But you had not an inkling of my identity, you foolish, foolish male. It certainly pays to think with what is between one's legs, doesn't it?" Desdemona hissed, and brutally slammed against his closed, broken wing. "Should I continue where you left off?" she purred, a growling tone beneath the pleased sound. "Or should I leave you... lacking." It was very clear that she meant leaving him unmanned, or in this case... unstallioned. A gelding. "You'd make such a pretty gelding, I am thinking... something to torment." Or should she once again rile this stallion up until he could stand the heat no longer? No... no, humiliation, pain... those were much better routes. "Have you learned your lesson?" she simpered, her teeth snapping mere inches away from his neck.

His head lashed out in attempts to bite back, his mind screaming from the pain of his wing being mutilated but the skinwalker mare. He needed to fight back, to show this mare what she was really dealing with, but his body refused to react, unable to free itself from her forceful hold. It amazed him that this smaller creature could take control so easily, and the larger mutant struggled to break free, so that he may retaliate. Fear, no. He would never allow her to see him terrified of her, a female, of all things.

Aching jaws snapped at the mare once again, only to find the splintering pain once again tearing into his side as she used her weight to ram into his injured wing. He had no experience of pain at this level before, and it was exhilarating and maddening at the same time. With pain grew rage, and the beast continued to struggle against his captor.

"At least I have something between my legs!" He growled back, attempting to kick out and trip her with one of his front legs. "Frigid b***h!"

His mind was racing, his heart pounding. He was always the one in control, and now that the situation was no longer under his power, he had to find a way to gain it back. His head jerked in attempts to impale her with his shattered horn, and he spat out, "There's no lesson here to be learned, nor will the day ever come that I'll be learning anything from the likes of you!"
