Okay, people are constantly saying that Tobi is Uchiha Madara, but I don't think he is. When he "calls himself" Madara, he says "My power, Uchiha Madara's power, etc..." Which worded like that means that he is referencing Uchiha Madara, who was most likely the first real Uchiha, and the second statue at Valley of End.
However.
From what he said aside, there is still a possibility. Tobi has a ton of bolts and screws and automail-looking stuff on his body, which means he could have been severely injured and repaired. My theory is that Madara and Shodai fought at the Valley of End, and Shodai won. Whether Madara was killed or not is a mystery however, but Tobi could be him because of his unique body. But the same thing could steer towards Tobi still being Obito. Really the ONLY thing that doesn't fit with Tobi being Obito is that Obito's personality was never as God-complexish as Tobi's is.
Also, I think there's a possibility that Tobi could be someone new all together.

I was just really annoyed about this and wanted to give my opinion on it.

Thanks. And yeah, there's plenty that could explain his personality. Maybe Zetsu also has a bigger role than it seems, since he apparently was the one to generally train Tobi. I definitely like how Kishi set it up so really no one can figure out much of the main plot, and all the surprises that come with it.

Even if Madara is old, Madara is still an Uchiha, that means that he is just as dangerous and maybe more since he might posses countles Jutsu.

and madarra is as old as hell so how the hell could he be in the akatsuki

Honestly i don't believe it could be either one. When Obito was crushed by that boulder he only had a certain amount of time left to live (can you imagine all the blood loss?) Rin only had enough time to extract the Sharingan from Obito before it was dead. There is not really any way ANY one could save Obito from his impending death, unless of course that person who saved him was able to bring along with them a full blown Auto mail surgery kit XD. I don't see him actually being Madara because of how long ago that battle was.....if it was...how is he alive? Maybe how Sasori was able to sustain himself in his own puppet? I don't really know. I was just thinking.... though. If you find my answer unfit for you please... it was only my opinion smile Maybe Tobi is a memory eater XD and thinks hes Madara..... Maybe not.. does anyone really know at the moment?

Oh YEA!! I totally spaced the pill D: kinda makes sense now. Hmm i wonder when we get to see the story behind tobi... wait.... tobi.... obit.... its missing a letter but theres quite a resemblance.

I'm sorry but I must agree with Gennosuke. It's very true what he said about Madara. He must have copied almost every Jutsu there is if not all of them. That is without talking about the Jutsu he must have develope on his own, you know. It makes perfect sense, and Madara can easy be alive and also be responsible for Yondaime's loss. The Kyubi knows about Madara, think about it. Madara could have been the one the released it in Konoha, if Sasuke can control Manda, Madara could easily control the Kyubi.
