Reloshca - Now I don't need a name for my language smile

Looks like most people reserve first, so I guess I will too 3nodding .
I don't know why, but over this summer... since I haven't been able to study languages like I've wanted to, I've sort of been mixing the ones I know with the tiny bits I know of the ones I don't, and... well, this is what happened sweatdrop . What's really funny is that it sounds a lot like French to me (I don't mean to say it IS LIKE French, I mean I think it has a similar sound), even though I know almost no French. It has some words obviously borrowed/modified from Spanish and French and German and Russian, and others that I've completely made up. (The term's a posteriori, right?)

I'm a total noob, I know, but... When I start thinking in my own gibberish, I figure it's time to start writing stuff down sweatdrop . 4laugh

This is probably where phonetics will go if I ever figure out how to make a "standard" phonetic system. It's ... REALLY ... not standard at all. It's a "once you know it, you've got it, until then you're clueless." Like English or French. rolleyes Um. I'll put commonly used IPA symbols in here, or something, worst case? I need to go look up IPA stuff so I can try to explain how words are pronounced. confused (Esteu medrand)

Alphabet
A a
B b
`C c
D d
E e
F f
G g
*H h
I i
J j
L l
M m
N n
O o
P p
Q q
R r
S s
T t
U u
V v
# X x
# Y y
Z z

` - C is a k sound when followed by a, o, u; s sound when followed by e, i. Can't decide whether or not to use ç (for s-sound with written c but followed by a/o/u).
* - H is "silent"; it makes it so that two vowels are not made into a diphthong (ahi sounds different from ai, for example). It also makes consonant combinations. Ch sounds like "sh" in English (French ch, German sch), th is voiceless, sh is verrrrry soft when not followed by a consonant and sounds just like ch when it is followed by a consonant, and...umm... can't think of anything else right now.
# - I can't think of any time I have used/will use it, so it may disappear. --W and K have been REMOVED :O

Hmm.... Relochka? For a name? I don't know. It depends on what aspect you want to bring out in the name of your language...

It'd be spelled Reloshka, but that does sound good. I'll put it in the hat smile

Je ne parle pas français.

In fact, that's all I can say, pretty much. That and "Je suis cet eté", which I can't spell. (Respell "Je sui set'ete" and it means "I am this summer"--I'm quite certain I've misspelled it up there.) Oh, and "Je suis mort", which is generally useless as well. Hmm. neutral

Oh my! You've changed! burning_eyes (It's cool! I'm just commenting on the fire)

*puts the names in the hat*

Je ne parle pas français... I just kind of fake it. I've heard some because French was really popular at my high school.

Oh! xD Yeah, I'm going into German four and French two this year, but quite honestly, I like German better 'cause no one takes it. So I can ramble off in the halls with Sally without people eavesdropping. =)

And thanks! (But I change quite often. xD)

Oh, okay. Yeah, it's nothing but Spanish at my school. There are only two German teachers and only three French teachers, but there are about ten Spanish teachers. It really gets on my nerves because my counselour keeps trying to get me to take Spanish. Ugh! I don't want to take Spanish because everyone knows it! D:

Ok, names so far are:

Reloshka -- ʁɛl oʊʃ' kə
Norudcha -- no ɾʉ' tʃa (yeah, the d completely loses out and turns all that into the english ch. I don't know how, but after I said it about ten times it just vanished)
Echangre -- eɪ ʃan' gɾə
Nodrushke -- no dɾuʃ' kə

I'm gonna come back and edit this post in a few with IPA for how those words would be pronounced in xd / sweatdrop / rolleyes
Unless I get dragged out for tax-free weekend shopping before I get a chance to. emo

Ack, so many emoticons. sweatdrop EEP ANOTHER!
