Is there a way to trade fish?
Yes.
I've seen a couple topics about this floating around in the guild, and I've found a way to trade fish.
It's a pain in the a**,
and pretty useless to boot.
But there is a way!
Quote: 1. You create a new resident in your house that you don't care about.
2. Put all your "valuable" fish into your house.
3. Go into your spare resident and pick up the fish and put them into your pockets.
4. Using the immigration mode move into your friend's town where they will gain access to that resident.
Like I said,
pretty useless.
For example,
Thease fish will NOT help you fill your catolouge,
but you will be able to sell them, put them into your house and donate them to the museum.

Heh, I didn't see it. n_n
But they are pretty useless steps either way.
Who wants to go through all that hassle just to sell them or have them in their house?
I guess the museum would a help.... a LITTLE.
But a waste of time in general.

I only 'trade' creatures between the characters in my town, to save space and to just hold onto those badass bugs/fish.
Yeah, total waste of time and effort.
I'll reiterate.. "Go get your damn rod/net and fish/bug hunt yourself!! >D"
Immigation mode is only DS-to-DS, right?
