I love Frank E. Peretti's Piercing the Darkness and This Present Darkness. Only recently did I realize he has MORE books sweatdrop I'm silly sometimes... I picked up a couple, so YAAAA!!!
Anybody ever read him? He writes (don't kill me, I swear he's awesome) Christian allegory/Christian fantasy kind of books with demons and angels fighting and cool New Age/government vs. Christianity/weird stuff. I'm not sure... I've only read those two books, so his other books could be different. Dunno. But in the ones I read there were angels and demons fighting while the humans were running around doing stuff and getting tangled up in cool political and religious thingies.
Too tired to explain more... But I shall. Oh, I shall.
