Okay, well all this topic is for, is to get myself some ideas? Possibly? I'm am soo poor, so I probably can't get any prizes for any events, yet. And... I'm just braindead right now. Hehe... Also, I'm just wondering what kinds of ideas you might have. For the Melting Pot? I know that this is just me nagging on and on and on, but.. I really do need help..!!! >< I'm not MUCH of an idea person. Well, not on the spot kind of, things just come to me. Hopefully you guys will reply? ^^;; And also, some ideas come to me as well! Thankiez!!! xP

Well if you want to do a contest just ask me, I'll help supply the gold needed for it, depending on what the contest is about of course haha. Anywho, I have a few ideas.
Favorite quotes (perhaps have a rule they can only post one a day or something)
Music Discussion
Movie Discussion
Name them whatever you want to of course, set up the rules and details and what not. You don't have to use them if you don't want to, and I have others as well but thinking about them still haha.

Well they're up to you, this is your subforum. But I can offer a few suggestions, I think music discussion and movie discussion (as well as the book discussion) should probably be stickies. The reason being is because discussions are a bit more important, because they stop the production of multiple threads about the same subject, but they generally don't receive a lot of attention so if they're not stickied they'd probably fall down the list, and people will start creating more discussions if they don't notice it. However things like chats, the woot, this, and probably quotes are just general areas for people to talk or to put up things daily. With that said, they get posted on quite a bit and circulate on the top quite often, so if they're just topics they generally do well and don't reproduce unless for some other sort.
Hopefully that cleared up on what to make as stickies and what to make as topics... Now the difference between all three options is this.
Announcements go first on the thread, and will always remain first. Stickies come next, they are always above topics but never above announcements. And topics are alway below everything else.
Announcements are generally reserved for updates, rules, and well announcements lol.
Stickies are generally reserved for lesser updates, discussions, feedbacks, odds and ends. Pretty much things that you want to keep track of but aren't really that important.
Topics are usually the meat of a thread, and contain a lot of on forum subject, but since there's so many of them they rotate quite quickly for the number one spot, and so they don't need to be stickied. Pretty much they're the mutt, meant for whatever else you want to use them as, or whatever you don't see fit as an announcement or a sticky.

Oh and you can always change something if you don't like where it is either. Another note, the quotes is actually okay where you put it, so no worries about that ^_^, it can be a sticky. Might even be a better spot for it. As I said, everyone has their ways of running stuff, and so I can only offer suggestions, nothing is ever done wrong, and makes everything unique. So feel free to mess around with it the way you want to. It is your subforum as I said ^_^.

That cleared things up to me so much! Haha, as my friends say, I am slow, physically and mentally at times ^^;; And I'll try to think of as many ideas as possible! I'll be sure to post them up and see if they're any good ^^

Sure lol as I said on the subforum thing, this place is also for brainstorming, so people can brainstorm rp ideas all they want if you set up a discussion area for that on here. It is a good idea ^_^
