It had been awhile since the Consort of the Pridelands had gotten a chance to wander on his own. The heavy weight of the nine new additions to the royal bloodline held him down at his post, along with the worry that his golden mate could be too overwhelmed on top of all else. Even though Queen Kamilika was very much fit for her duty and title, Ta'Ziyan still found himself worried and thinking of her every waking moment that he was not by her side.
So, in effort to calm down and stop the worry and stress he held at the large rock, he took over the duty of his nephew Mastema and planned to have the whole day to himself at the borders. Working the greetings of the pride as well as his own confidence and lion-skills, it seemed ideal since mostly he would get a chance at perfect silence. From what Bijan said, most of the borders were silent save for the pattering of the current members throughout.
Settling his movements on the form of a large rock, the fluffy copper male looked out into the distance, his mind afar and in reminisce of all the old times he had as a cub. It had been long before he actually got the chance to meet Kamilika and even earn her name, but still he remembered the darker parts of his life. Letting out a shudder, he mourned for his past a moment longer, before letting the sun warm his pelt and his heart with the future he had earned and made for himself. Never would he consider his life to be better, and never would he give up the current dream he had obtained.

The young female stalked through the grass.
Shed was trying new prey; a small antelope. Dikdik. Her pale fur didn't do much to hide her, but it didn't give her away either. Despite being a different color from the grass, it was about just as pale. See, it wasn't silver, that would glitter under the sun of the pridelands; it was a light, pale gray.
But then the dikdik snapped its head upward, and Kimaji froze, waiting. But it ran off before she could act; she was still too far.
But she had been so quiet! The young lioness frowned, and lifted her head from the grass, peering around to see the shape of a lion, squeaking, then ducking, backing away. Had she gotten in the ridelands again?! But could she really be blamed? The forest was dying, no prey lived there anymore. Nothing. This also xplained her strangely small frame, a size she'd never recover, she'd remain small for the rest of her life, probably, she wouldn't grow much more. But Kimaji didn't complain, she liked being small. There was no problem!

Gazing out in silent serenity, the copper male suddenly let out a sort of gasp as he caught sight of a bounding antelope. Catching the way it's eyes shoned, as if being spooked, he wondered if there was another sort of animal near by. So much for being alone, he thought idly as he stood up and hopped down from the rock. Stretching his furry and filled frame, he shook his mane a bit before looking up once again.
"Is someone there?" He called out, glancing around a bit as his brown ears flickered. Taking a step towards where the animal had run away from, he tilted his head a bit before a slow smile crossed his maw. There was a flash of something, a color not of the grasses. Pausing his steps, he waited, hoping his current advance didn't cause a sort of hostility to appear from his frame.

"Nope! " Wait. Should she have said that? He wouldn't believe no one was here now! She fiddled with her toes a bit, and scurried around the grass, quietly and swiftly, something Kimaji was good at, as she looked for a way to get away from.
Then she stepped on a stick, for a mere moments distraction. "Oops. " She squeaked, lifting her paw quickly as if it'd help. So she crouched and remained where she was, ears perked. She didn't know where the lion was now! How would she get away?

His eyes widened at the sound that snapped out, his head turning in surprise before he realized whoever it was was trying to get away. Thinking quickly, he back up until his tail hit the rock, and he turned and jumped back up to his perch. Perking his ears, he decided to try once more at calling out, softening his voice in the process.
"It's alright, I won't hurt you or anything, you're welcome to come out and hunt in these parts..." Thinking a moment he added, "Trust me, I speak with the queen on a daily basis, we welcome all those who seek no harm..."

"Queen? Whats a queen? " Ger had only covered King, really. Kimaji stopped herself before saying more, and folded her ears for a moment. She had to get better at hiding! But might aswell let it go now; he said he wuldn't hurt her!
"Are you Mufasa? " She asked, twitching her tail and poking her head out from the grass, though it might still take a while to realise her through the pale grasses. "Ger said this was his kingdom. " She swished her tail through the grass, clearly unaware that the king had died.

Getting a good view of the female at last, Ta'Ziyan took a long moment to eye her light pelt, surprised at such a youthful female was wandering through the borders. Jumping back down from his rock so he was level with the girl, he settled back upon his haunches before nearly falling over at her questions.
"I...erm..." Coughing a bit, his ears fell with a bit of stress as he thought the best way to answer the question, "...well actually, Mufasa no longer rules these lands...instead his daughter, Queen Kamilika looks over this kingdom...a queen is the same as a king..." He tried to explain, looking around as he grasped for words before finally giving up.
"My name is Ta'Ziyan...I live with the queen."

"Why not? " She asked in confusion, sitting down, looking even smaller. He presented himself, and she smiled. "I'm Kimaji! Hi Ta. " She shortened his name quickly, flicking the tuft of her tail and curling it around her paws.
"I'm sorry for trespassing, sir! " She nodded. "But we dun have food at the forest anymore. " She shrugged. She missed swimming in the lake, wihich now seemed more like a pond, if anything.
