Sitting at the window and staring out into the storm deep purple eyes had stopped registering what was truly before him past the thin pane, the sky had grown very dark in a matter of hours, thick heavy clouds rolled in on winds that tore through the forest and broke branches. Large drops splattered in multitude against the house, thunder rumbled across the heavens and flashes of lightening lit the windows like a rave. Dark had stopped seeing it hours ago but the storm still raged strong it didn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.
Falling gracefully to the floor without a thud, thump or flutter, Dark had begun to pace the room marching from one end to the other and back again, his tiny black wings held stiffly to his back, his long tail swished rhythmical behind him. Muttering to himself and glancing out at the weather, he continued pacing for an extended amount of time and then he with a leap he was back on the window sill, staring but not seeing.
"Damn!" He announced in a voice that held a childlike quality even using such a harsh tone.
You're wearing out the carpet and my body Daisuke, this performance won't make the storm pass anymore swiftly. Dark couldn't help himself, teasing Daisuke was easy, especially when nature set it up so well. Why don't you just find a nice pillow to curl up in and have a nap? I'm sure it will last until evening anyway.
"It caan't." He wined aloud returning to the floor but ceasing his endless parade. "Why, on my day of all days, rain." The last word was spoken as if it was a curse upon all existence.
Daisuke did not enjoy the black irony of it all, he had wanted a day out, just to be free and run, enjoy himself, he had bargained with Dark and the older one had finally relented, "You can have one day, I won't interrupt no matter what just let me get some sleep first."
The elated kit had been so happy he crowed half the morning away while Dark had tried to get some rest, though the excited kit kept him from getting much. He relented his nap and his form to the younger one just before noon and the first drops of rain began to fall.
