I would also go back to the 19th century for the Romantic period. Hang out with awesome literary people, and all of the science! Back then there were actually things that were breakthroughs in science... I know there still are, but it doesn't really seem like it as much, because we already know all of the fundamental stuff. Yeah, sorry for being vague, but my brain is being all foggy right now.
