 For all we know Tobi and Obito could be the same person or they could not be. We really can't say anything for sure. Though I can't pose any evidence against the ObiTobi theory I can't help but think that that Obito and Tobi aren't the same person. If they were then I think it would negate the theme of the kakashi Gaiden arc and Kakashi's way of the ninja. Obito was all about his little catch phrase " Those who don't care for their team mates are worse than trash". It would negate that whole profound tearful death scene in which Obito died but his way of the ninja lived on through Kakashi. What reason would Obito have for taking over the world? That IS NOT taking care of his team mates. So who is Tobi? I think it is Uchiha Madara. I think the bigger question is what does Madara have to do with the Kyuubi since they have had some interaction in the past that even Sasuke doesn't know about. At this point I think introducing Madara as a character and getting some questions answered would be more relevant that having Obito brought back.

HOLY CRAP! I read the manga right before i came in here. I was all "New Chapter?! Oh noes! I forgot!!!" But seriously, if I can ever contact that really cool Deidara I saw at Comic-con I can tell them Tobi IS alive! I knew he was! O 3O Cuz, his finger didn't singe and stuff D: But, this whole thing has me freaking out, Sasuke is being followed, pretty much, the entire akatsuki has been revealed, and it finally looks like we get to see Tobi in action, instead of running around, and saying Sasuke looks scary xd

Well, a friend of mines friend that knows Japanese said that the way it's written in the Japanese, Tobi says that he is Madara. But, it still would've made some sense if he was Obito. I don't care either way.

Last I checked, Uchiha Madara helped found Kohona. How the hell would he still be alive over 100 years later? It makes more sense for Tobi to be Obito--after all, Tobi is basically Obito backwards in Japanese, just without the "o". In addition, Tobi does say that almost all his body was crushed, so that does support the Tobi=Obito theory. I think this chapter does prove this theory--and this is coming from a former anti Tobi=Obito fan.

xD; Okay, the whole 'Tobito' theory is still questionable. It really, really depends on what version of the translation you have, because let's not forget that they are all translated by people who are either completely fluent in one language or another, and the complexities of both english and japanese leave a lot of room for misinterpretation.
In my opinion ^^; Unless Tobi comes right out and is all like 'Raw, my sekrit name is Obito~' xD; I won't believe it. Still seems WAY off to me.

How the hell would he still be alive over 100 years later? xD; I just have to point out that if he did anything similar to what Orochimaru can do... it wouldn't be that unlikely for him to be alive for more than 100 years xD; The Sandaime was alive and kicking until Orochimaru killed him, and he was a kid when the village was founded or around that time since we get to see him with both previous hokages xD;

OMG SASUKE DANCING!!! eek Anyway, when I read the updates to the manga I screamed my head off! I mean, Pain is GORGEOUS and is taking orders from TOBI!!! Aw Tobi is so cute when he is being random, or saying Deidara is dead when he isn't! *twinkles* Any who, I wanna know if that is REALLY Itachi that confronted Naruto. -pouts-

You took the words right out of my mouth sweatdrop Why did the person who created the thread say it had spoliers? Nothing she said was official. Obito was never mentioned.
