The drawings and the story, I would wait to see. I mean at first glance it's not the "coolest" but if the story is good it may fit into the artwork. I mean it's always good to look at other types of presentation than the same ol' same ol'. But I don't like Bumblebee's voice. That high pitch tone will get to me at some point and hopes Megs frags him lol.

I did lolz <3 It was cute, StarScream sounded like an evil version of Spongebob but that's ok XD BumbleBee was a cutie and Sari wasn't annoying like I thought she was going to be! Though I don't like Optimus' voice... OOH and I can't wait to see more of Black Arachnia! She looked pretty sweet the whole you know 10 secs they showed of her...let's see what else...I dunno I'll have to think on it, but altogether I have to say I'm going to like it, I knew I was going to it's Transformers no matter how it looks I'm going to love it! heart

TransMidi I still wish they kept Prime's battle mask on constantly like in the other seasons >< thats my only problem with ANIMATED. other than that, i want the optimus prime and you have to admit, the dino bots look cool.

Well, since it's been a bit into the show, I'll give my two bits on an updated.
I'm going to compair this to BW *gasp*.
So far, the story is shaping up very nicely. The arc started early, and it's very blatent in its arc. Also, I like how the arc is a constant throughout almost all the episodes. They've started out with some so-so gimmicks *cough human villains cough* but otherwise, it's off to a very good start.
Beast Wars, of course, was awesome. It only started out 'good' though. Hell, I find the beginning few episodes very meger compaired to the others. They were all about either Cheetor or Terrorsaur. And when they introduced Tigertron, he appeared in his episode for all of 3 minutes. And Blackaracnia? What did she even do in her apperance episode?
Then BW started their alien arc. Admitingly, you could watch 3~4 episodes and catch the whole arc. This wasn't a bad thing though, as it worked well in the end.
Now the characters...
I like them all so far. None of them really stand out right now as anything special, but then again, the Decepticons haven't appeared in numbers yet.
I do love Ratchet though. Probably because it's been beaten into my head to respect elders. He's also (character-wise) a rarity in the genre. A grizzly grumpy old man. That's awesome.
And Lockdown. He was just several flavours of awesome.
Now, this show is most suredly going to get better. ALL shows suck compaired to their later seasons. The writer's haven't figured out all the subtleties of the characters, nor have the voice actors. Once they get used to it, they can unleash its full glory.
