Name : Ashlyn Elizabeth Grant
Gender : Female
Age : 27
Eduction : High School Degree, Working at her last years of Law School
Ethnicity : Mutt (American)
History : Ashlyn grew up in a small town in West Virginia. She was a bright little girl with an imagination that loved to run wild. She took part in many school plays and other events through her town, loving the feel of being perceived as something she was not. If also satisfied another need of hers: being noticed. Being an only child, one would think she would be adored by her parents and perhaps even spoiled. But due to her parents' careers she got very little attention. The one family member she was closest to, however, was her grandmother who died before her last year in middle school. It was after her grandmother died that she started to focus on her academics in order to get her parents to notice her. She was a very capable student, with high grades most of the time. In high school she first had a strong desire to move on and become a performer. But due to pressure from her parents, the fact that she had very little experience real experience like those who lived in big cities, and because of her inspiration being dead for a few years she reluctantly pursued the occupation of a lawyer while simply using her talents in everyday life instead.
Personality : Ashlyn is the type of individual that lives her life based off of her personal beliefs, which are not necessarily the "norm" for society when it comes to morals. While some of her beliefs include loyalty, others are as strange as her acceptance of "bending the truth". However, she's also got a good head on her shoulders which curbs impulsiveness and irrationality brought on by living completely based on her own ethics. Most of the time she makes decisions based on a mixture of intellect and a sense of justice that follows her principles. Despite her good horse sense, she is to a fault an attention seeker. She adores being in the spotlight and can often be found making her worse mistakes to draw the eyes of others if she has yet to catch them. While on a subconscious level she may simply want the attention she never got as a child, in another, closer part of herself she revels in the feeling of being someone else or upon tricking people into believing what she says and does. While she is a very social individual she can often be too critical or judgmental of others and can hold a grudge for an unreasonable amount of time, despite her strong grasp on logic. As far as laws go, it seems strange she would become a lawyer, for she has very little respect or regard for laws she finds unfair and tends to work around those regulations she doesn't wish to abide by. Find a just law, and she'll stand by it sturdily as a wall. The same can be said with friendships when she makes them. A very important thing to note is that she is not a religious person. In fact, she often questions the credibility of a god actually existing. She has little patience for those who put all their faith religion.
Appearance : Ashlyn is not fashionable by nature. In fact, she personally does not believe appearance hold any truth at all. But, this being said, she love to "dress the part". Whether it is because she knows others will mistake what they see on the outside for the truth or whether it is an indulgence of her childhood days of playacting, she dresses depending on what she is doing or where she is going. When at law school she would dress to impress and when out with friends for a night on the town she would pick outfits of trend. But at home, when no part is being played, she usually dresses comfortably from jeans to sweatshirts. As far as physical features go she is very gangly and lean in her build. Her hair is long and black, often held up in some way for practicality. Her eyes a gray shade of blue that are bright or unnoticeable depending on the colors she is wearing to contrast them. The one thing she is always wearing, no matter what, is a small silver bracelet made of fine links not even a quarter centimeter in width. This was given to her by her grandmother before she passed away.

♠ About Kitsune (Fox Spirits)Origin : First originated in India and later found in Child, Korea, and Japan.
What it is : A kitsune is a spiritual being that, when appearing in the physical world, takes the shape of a fox with many tails or the guise of a beautiful woman.
Nature : Kitsune are known both as guardians and trickster's in legend. This often depends on the type of kitsune and those they are interacting with. Kitsune follow a strict, personal set of ethics and this can often change how they handle others. If someone goes against their believes they can be vicious and dangerous, while those who follow the same ideals can receive a kitsune's kindness and assistance. All kitsune keep their promises, less they become self destructive, and can become enemies to those who don't. They are a very emotional race and when their emotions get the better of them they can be harmful to themselves and extremely vengeful to others. They are also very proud and will not accept help from those who are not willing. Lastly, it is important to note that Kitsune love the ties of family and are rarely found alone, whether that be with other kitsune or with mortals of some form.
Feeding : When kitsune appear in the mortal realm they feed off of the elements around them or upon gifts made to them. It is also said that they can feed off of anything from writing to an actual person. There are many tales of Kitsune taking on mortal lovers and "feeding" off of their life energy.
Tails : A kitsune if often said to have many tails. Some legends say that a kitsune gains a tail every 100 years it lives. Others say that upon reaching the age of 900 they gain 9 tails at once. Either way, tails are a sign of rank and experience.
Kitsune Ball : This is a small, white ball that appears like that of any child's toy. However, when taken from a Kitsune they will beg, plead, and do anything to get it back. It is thought that perhaps Kitsune put a bit of their powers into this ball.
Powers : Common powers of kitsune are illusion, possession, fox fire, and seduction.

Why : Why a kitsune, you ask? Because deep down Ashlyn has the heart of a trickster. And like the kitsune she isn't a petty individual that plays clever tricks for no good reason. Kitsune's always have a purpose for their deceptions or manipulations as does Ashlyn. Whether those reasons are good, however, is not something that can be promised. But much like the fox spirits she is self righteous, whether it be the true right or not. And especially since stepping away from her dream of being a performer she has grown a bit out of touch with her original self, which it is the hope her new form would reunite her with.

♠ The Pukka
Ashlyn's Pukka, oddly enough, was something that seemed to be a piece of junk. And she is hardly a pack rat, so why bother keeping it? The situation was what drove Ashlyn to get the small, white ball fitted onto a necklace to keep close to her at all times.
One day she recieved a letter at her apartment from a nursing home. It was from one of the care-takers and stated that a Mister John Harper wished to speak with her regarding her grandmother. It also detailed that normally they did not go out of their way to contact visitors-but Mr. Harper had not spoken in a good 4 years.
When Ashlyn finally went to meet with the man she was a little disturbed, for it was clear Mr. Harper was not in his right state of mind. Determined to know what he wished to tell her about her grandmother, however, she stayed until finally he spoke, "Lucy would want you do have this, dearie." It was the small, white child's ball no bigger then a quarter. Though she tried to ask him about the object Mr. Harper would no longer speak. It seemed he had gone back into his state of silence.

♠ The Transformation
Dormancy - A lean, gangly woman dressed a tight pair of jeans and a baggy blue sweatshirt. Ashlyn would mostly have her hair pulled up in a messy half-ponytail or something similar to keep it out of her blue eyes. Clothes are casual since she'd most likely be pulled through during a moment when she was at her apartment.
Awakening - (From this point it is theory, since it will be up to to the artist) Her ears would start to change shape and perhaps move up a little on her head (though not far). Her tail bone would start to grow out, with new flesh over it, showing the stump of a tail forming, perhaps with trases of white fur. Her hair would start to change to white at its roots and I imagine her teeth and nails would be longer and with a slightly different shape.
Metamorphosis - Fur would start to appear in large patches on her body and her tail would be more obvious and full, perhaps with a second tail now. Ears would most likely be farther up and more recognizable as canine. There might be a change in her jaw structure slightly along with her nose which would show the signs of a muzzle to come in the future. Her feet and hands would probably start showing signs of being paws in the very near future.
Evolution - At this point she'd basically be an anthro white fox, loosing much of her height. She'd still stand upright, though her arms would hang down much of the time due to their new length. Her face would be that of a fox with long locks of hair still remaining. She could also have 3 tails at this point.
Genesis - At this point she'd appear to be a pure white fox with extra tails (if allowed).

♠ Grandmother, Dear
As a very young child Ashlyn was, in a sense, neglected by her parents. So she learned to do whatever was necessary to get the attention she sorely craved. From tantrums to wild goose chases she was often bending the truth just get someone to pay attention to her. One individual, however, was not fooled by her antics. Grandmother Lucy seemed to know every trick Ashlyn had up her sleeve. But instead of forbidding her to her performances or ignoring them she had her own funny way of reaching out to the child.
"Those tears are quite good, but you ruin them by talking too clearly. If you want people to believe you, you need to blubber a few of them out. And don't ever repeat yourself unless asked more then three times, else it would seem like you wanted to say it all along."
Her odd bits of advice were a shock to young Ashlyn at first. But then she lapped them up like a starving cat at a milk bowl and began to spend more and more time with her Grandmother who knew so much.
"To make a believable story, dear, you need to put in dashes of truth. And these truths need to be obvious ones, ones that people are familiar with. That way when you twist around the story in parts they don't know as much about they will be far more believing."
Grandmother Lucy was her inspiration and almost acted as the parental figures she wished she had. For the first time she felt as if she didn't have to do something to grab the attention she desired.
Upon her grandmother's death, however, things became difficult. She struggled with returning to the same, unnoticed state as before much like a man from the desert would struggle back in his home town after visiting a land with plenty of water. So, as a drastic resort she did less of her acting and games and instead put herself to work in school, which was the only thing her parents paid attention to. She always, however, wore the silver bracelet Grandmother Lucy had left to her.
