"Thanks for c-coming with me..I wouldn't want to face him on my own."

It was a nice day out, but Nikita's expression didn't reflect that: instead, it seemed as if he was dreading something. And he had good reason to be dreading this 'something', as he walked across the grounds. The girl beside him however, didn't seem to be in such a bad mood.

In fact, she seemed positively amused by the situation, with a little smile curling on her lips.

"Well, I'm not about to leave you to face a hallucinating Dmitriev all by yourself - you'd probably never return," Sariael was, in fact, amused by the situation. It wasn't often that Dmitriev was in a...state such as this. The fact that Rodya had called for Nikita to watch the man while he went to get some more medicine just made it that much more fun.

The teenager was quite glad Nikita was her 'guardian' at times such as this - it gave her the perfect opportunities to annoy Rodya.

Tai and Melvin were wandering around Divinity. Melvin had managed to find a map from somewhere and was almost pushing his face though it an attempt to figure out where they were. Tai on the other hand was wandering around with wide eyes. part of her was sad that she didn't live here, it was so beauitful, and not in Melvin's house way. Melvin's house was beauitful but in a 'don't touch me' way. This place was beautiful with a natural way, a way that couldn't be ruined if you touched something or broke, it all be okay.

"Ohhh, look Melvin, people!" Tai saw the pair walking along and rushed forward to greet them. There wasn't a single shy bone in this young girl's body. Melvin's natural need to pull her back though stoped when she saw who one of those people were. With a soft smile Melvin waved himself, which was about as friendly as the shy boy got.

"Nikita." Melvin didn't call out, a little afraid that it was really someone else. He walked a bit faster to meet his twin soul as Tai was already there, stoping in front of them and tilting her head to the side. She never heard of these people before, therefore she didn't know them. So Melvin wouldn't want her giving her traditional greeting, a hug.

"Hi! I'm Tai. Who are you? Where are you going?" Tai started beofre glancing voer ehr shoulder when she heard Melvin call a name. "Do you know Melvin? He's my gaurdian, he's great. Which one of you is Nikita? I like that name it's different. Do you live here? Melvin was suppose to live here but he go to stay at home. I wish I could live here I love it." It just never ended. Tai had a million things to say and each thing she said inspired tne more things.

"Tai, breath, let the people answer." melvin suggested as he moved closer, putting a hand on Tai's shoulders as he blushed himself, looking at the pair. he had no diea who the young girl was, but she looked a little older than him and he blushed.

Nikita had started to smile and give a greeting to Melvin, but when Tai started talking, he simpl paused and blinked at the little girl. He'd gotten lost at 'do you know Melvin'; the rest of it was just a confusing blur.

"Ah..I'm Nikita.."

She was confusing.

"I'm Sariael. It's nice to meet you, Tai!" The teenaged Sylph knelt down before the little girl, smiling at her; it was always a good idea to make a good first impression - even if it was just a kid. You never knew who that kid would grow up to be, afterall.

"Hello Melvin...Oh, ah - Sariael is..well, she's the Sylph I helped raise."

Did that make her his daughter? It was strange, especially since she now acted more mature then him most of the time. But they really didn't have much time to stop and chat.

"But we actually c-can't stay and talk..."

"Dmitriev, a...coworker...of ours is ill; and his son has to go get some more medicine. So, we're going to go over and watch him."

Tai grined when one of them bent down to look in her eyes. In a way it made her feel shorter than it would have if she just looked down but she appreciated the effort in anyway. Most people back at Melvin's only spoke around her not to her. That's why she loved Divinity, people talked to her. Not around her, not above her, and didn't yell or order her but just talked and talked to her.

So she giggled and looked between the pair, her eyes lighting up when they mentioned Demi. Just at the same time as Melvin paled. It was obvious both guardian and Sylph knew of the large man but the impact the legendary Dmitriev had on Tai was not the average one. She seemed overjoyed at the news. Then suddenly she realized what they were saying.

"Demi is sick! Oh no! he said he didn't feel well last time we talked." Tai bite her bottom lip and she turned quickly to Melvin, "We have to help Melvin! Demi needs us!"

Melvin was more than a little confused himself. Two minutes ago they were saying hello, now Tai was tugging on his hand and begging they go to that...man's home. Nothing about that screamed safe but...Tai was looking at him with those big eyes of hers, tugging on her arm. Tai had so little friends because he had to live at home. Sure the...uh...enforcer wasn't a great role model but he made Tai happy and he never hurt her, was it truly so wrong for them to be together? As long as Melvin was there to watch over them of course.

"Umm...would you mind if Tai and I tagged along. We met Mr...Dmitriev earlier and well Tai really liked him, I think, she'd like to see him. But Tai...you have to promise to not ask any questions. Mr...Dmitriev didn't like you asking so many questions." Melvin reminded her. Tai frowned a bit, she had such a hard time not asking questions, no one liked her asking questions. She sighed but nodded slowly in agreement.

"I know, I promise Melvin. I'm just worried about him. I hope he's okay." Tai said softly, frowning a little before she looked over to the two. "Please may be go? I really want to see Demi and help him get better, please?" Tai begged, eyes bright but sad.

Nikita's reaction to Tai's apparent attachment to Dmitriev was, quite simply, bewildered. He was having trouble fitting his image of Dmitriev into something a child would like. In fact, the only image he could call to mind that included Dmitriev and children, was a 7 foot tall stick-figure terrifying a 3 foot tall stickfigure.

Huh

"I...guess that's f-fine."

Hopefully Dmitriev wouldn't mind a couple of guests...

"Well, let's get going then, hm?" Sariael spoke, and began to lead the way to Dmitriev's apartment. When they reached it, she knocked on the door; as amusing as it would be to simply enter, she knew better then to do that when Dmitriev was sick.

Chances are, she'd walk out of there with some nasty wounds from startling him, if she did that.

There was a pause after the knock, and then a yell from within.

"No, you idiot! You're not being attacked! PUT THAT GUN DOWN!"

After a few moments, Rodya opened the door. He looked a little more harried than usual, and his glasses were askew on his face, covering a black eye. Saying he looked tired would be a massive understatement.

"Save me," he said, fighting the urge to sound like a wounded animal. Dmitriev was hard enough to control when he was healthy. Controlling a delusional Dmitriev who seemed to think that ninjas were surrounding the premises was nothing less than a death wish.

At hearing the shouting, both Sariael and Nikita was understandably unnerved. They had expected Dmitriev to be a little off, but...this sounded just a bit frightening. By the time Rodya had opened the door, Nikita had managed to shift backwards a few steps, and seemed ready to flee at the slightest noise. Or gunshot.

"Well...don't you look smashing."

Smashing. A black eye. Riiight...Sariael's humor needed some work.

Pushing her way past Rodya and entering the apartment (with a moment of trepedition, as she checked to see if there were any guns in sight), she raised her eyebrow at the people still outside, as if wondering why they hadn't entered yet.

Nikita nervously slinked in, offering a weak, sympathetic smile to Rodya. He was wishing someone would save him from the job of babysitting a delusional Dmitriev as well.

Heeeere I Come to Save the Daaaaaay!

Tai moved into the apartment with the ease of family or a really great friend. The kind that ends up in jail with you because they prompt you to do stupid things. She mayb not prompt anyone to do anything illegal but she appeared to be the only person not worried about the gun and more worried about the hullincinating bear of a man holding a gun.

"Rod-ee-a, is Demi okay?" Tai asked as she moved in, then paused when she saw the black eye. "Awh, you're hurt!" She reached up and tugged on his shirt. There was only one answer to a booboo and that was to kiss it. Of course she never seen anyone do such a thing she just knew that was the way to handle bruises and cuts, how to make it better. Melvin had to be coached into kissing her many bruises but he was getting the hang of it now. "I'll kiss it and make it better." she asured him, her caring heart going into over drive. There were so many people around to love!

Melvin was hanging back though. The only thing that got him in the apartment was the mention of a gun and Tai. She'd be the type of person to walk striaght up to Dmitriev and get shot because he thinks she's an attacking bear or something and there was no way he'd let Tai get hurt, especially since the only reason she was here was because she genuinely cared for the man.

Why? Melvin didn't know but she did, and she wouldn't leave till she could help. Melvin's eyes were watching warily for the man, and the gun, if he had a choice, and the courage, he would hide the gun, or at least take out all the bullets, then again Rodya was a pretty smart guy, maybe he already did that...but if he did why would he be worried?

This was too much stress, he should be home now, studing...or having tea with Mother, not worring if he or Tai will be dead any time soon.
