hey, in this guild we only talk about amercan cars. wat about something else? THE ITALIAN CARS ARE THE BEST GT CARS EVER! FERRARI LAMBORGHINI BUGATTI MASERATI PAGANI ALL OF THESE CARS ARE FANTASTIC CARS. LETS TALK ABOUT THEM HERE!

What's your reasoning?
Why are Italian sports cars better?
And furthermore, can you define what a GT car is? I thought they were sport coupes, but a few notches below a real exotic. For example, a BMW M6.

GT= Gran Turismo (Italian) meaning that a GT is a powerful sports car.

Italian Cars are much more powerfull then eny Dodge, ok the Viper and the Ford GT are very powerfull but take a ferrari, a lamborghini, A BUGATTI VEYRON... Italian Cars are better made (with that I dont mean FIAT, onkly sports cars), they even cost much more then the American cars; a Dodge Viper can never beat a Ferrari FXX, or even a F430, The Ford GT I think is one of the only monter powerfull cars. Then McLaren is a monster to I will give u that. but most of the american cars arent that fast and powerfull.

A GT means Gran Tourismo or Grand Tourer, as you've said correctly. but it doesn't mean "powerful Sports car"....
what it is is a comfortable Specialty coupe with a powerful engine. a true GT car must be large, comfortable, and fast all at the same time. BMW M6, Aston Martin DB-9, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, Bentley Continental GT. These all have a fairly long wheelbase for it to be a nimble light pure-sport machine.
For me, the best GT car ever created is the old Aston Martin V8 Vantage with the twin superchargers.

The new Viper has 600 horsepower and does 0-60 in 3.2, I think it's on par with Italian supercars. Also, Bugatti is a french marque. Price isn't a measure of quality, just price. Ferrari, while creating some of the best sports car of all time, has shown that if they don't like how something is going in motorsports, they threaten them until they get their way. Lamborghini has created very nice cars, but they don't really have a racing history. While the Veyron as the fastest to speed of a production car, it still hasen't beaten the speed of the Callaway Sledgehammer. Americans can do anything the rest of the world can, it's just a matter of someone taking foot. If you want to measure a cars true performance, take to the Nurburgring and see what time it runs.

Word. Nurburgring.
In all sense I believe GT's my favorite class of Automobiles. They've got style, practicality, and performance. Two things they lack are fuel economy, and wallet economy.

Ok, so u r saying that the Callaway Sledgehammer, Is faster then the Bugatti Veyron? I don´t think that is possible, cuz even u sayd it was the fastest production car, that means that the Callway isn´t a production car! That doesn´s count! Here we are talking about production cars not Drag Racers.

It's not a drag car, its a 800 hp tuner corvette, and yes it is faster, even though you're right, it isn't a factory production car FansiteThe point is, you said Italian cars are the best GT cars. Well, you need to show some proof of this.

Alright leme clear some things up hear.
1 The Veyron has no record of being the fastest production car (even if it is) it simply has no world records in it's name for being the fastest
2 Shelby Super cars has built a production car that is in fact faster and cheaper.
3 For the price of the Veyron you could buy a fighter jet ( such as the A-10 [not really a fighter but more of a attacker but you get the idea]) tell you the truth i would rather have a jet it would be more fun. However it would raise to many questions from the government but it would still be cool.
4 G man was right if you wanna prove performance i say take the challege and go all the way around the Nurburgring track and compare lap times and take the average after at least three laps.
5 I could put up with German car, i can put up with Japanese car however i don't think that i will ever buy an Italian car. They just aren't that great.
I have to say that the best all around performance car would have to be the Nissan Skyline. However i would much rather buy a Lancer Evo Just because it's so much more practicle and more affordable. Don't get me wrong the Skyline is worth every penny and it is still faster and cheaper than any Italian sports car and you could fit 3 more of your friends along for the ride then in a Ferrari or Lambo. With leg room! imagine that a fast car with simple luxeries and cheap! WOW! Go ahead and save your money for expensive Italian sports cars that are all show and no go. I'll be driving my four door wonders of the road.
