I find forcing myself to wake up early helps.
My job sometimes makes me work morning shifts, but more often I work closing; so I get pretty used to staying up all night and sleeping in, then going in for the afternoon. Then suddenly I have to wake up at 6am for my morning shift, and I don't get a whole lot of sleep (sometimes as little as an hour's rest). By the time 9pm rolls around, I'm a zombie, and can barely keep my eyes open.
If you set a time to wake up at every day, I'm sure you can fix this. Right now I force myself to get up at 10am on days where I don't work or work in the afternoon, just so that I can fall asleep around midnight.
What really sucks is I'm about to move from the west coast to the east; meaning my clock will be pushed up three hours. What feels like 10am to me, will really be 1pm there! gonk Coming over here was great, though - I'd wake up at 9am, and it felt like I had slept in until noon. xd
