I have a soft spot for the old school, and James Kirk fits the bill in that regard. All the captains have their merits, but Kirk is the iconic captain for me. ^^
Also, remember when we were talking about the City of the Edge of Forever?

That was such a moving episode.
As for me, it was a really tough choice, but I had to go with Picard. I like his intelligent, thoughtful approaches to things. I also think that the fact that he's an archaeology buff was really neat, and fitting considering his mission. ^_^
