On July 21, 2007, the Pikes Peak Hill Climb record set by Rod Millen, which has stood for 13 years, was finally broken. The bar was raised by Japanese racing legend Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima in the 2007 Suzuki XL7 Pikes Peak, at 10 minutes and 1 second (besting the record by 3 seconds).
