He could feel his heart pounding in his chest already and he knew this was a terrible idea. Luca Nash hadn't been walking very long, about a two blocks from where he made the car park to the door of Divinity and he was already tired and feeling weak and alone which was the worst part.
It was unusual for him really. He didn't leave his room much and even rarer he had left the house, alone. He didn't know what possessed him to even pay attention to the letter he had no idea, but here he was.
Luca stood at the door for a long moment, taking deep breathes to try and get himself to get his heart beat back to normal and get the rest of him calmed down. It was a while before he decided he was ready and opened the door and going inside.
"Hello?" he said as he took a step into the room on the other side.

The universe was out to make him miserable. That was the only explanation for any of this madness. Apparently 'enforcer' was indeed synonymous with 'meet-and-greet' for this organization. However, this time Dmitriev didn't even pretend to care. As opposed to lying in boredom, hoping that someone would come through that blasted door, he had fallen asleep. The chair was much too small to support his back by itself, so instead of staying behind the tiny wooden desk, he'd moved himself and the chair to the corner of the room where he could rest his head against the wall.
"Hnnngh," he snorted when the other man entered the building, though he did not awaken. His breath heaved in snores loud enough to make his entire body tremble. He twitched every few seconds, the actions of his dreams surfacing in his limbs and garbled ******** giraffe," he mumbled in between wheezing snores. "Gnomes...pole vaulting gnomes..."
Thankfully, he'd probably not remember any of this when he woke up.

Dmitriev drew Luca's eyes right away, not just because of the sound but because of the size of him. He stared for a minute just blinking and trying to figure out what exactly could be going on in the sleeping man's head that could involve a pink giraffe and pole vaulting gnomes.
He looked around after a moment of staring at the sleeping man and seeing no one else he frowned. He had gotten the right place right? Of course he did how could he get it wrong, this building went on for a block. But had he got the right time?
He didn't much feel like waking the man up, he was huge and Luca who stood at about 5'7" and was seriously under weight did want to take the chance to wake him up and have him being angry.
He reached into the pockets of his over sized coat (which he wore to hide the fact that he was under weight but it only served to make him look smaller) and fished out the letter so that he could double check the time. However he struggled with it for a moment and out with the letter came the entire contents of his pocket. This included a pen, some paper and a lot of change, all falling to the floor with as loud as the possibly could.
"s**t..." he said, cursing the change and his lack of owning a wallet.

Whatever had been going on in Dmitriev's subconscious would never be known, as it poofed from memory when everything crashed on the floor.
"Hnng--what?" he shook awake in mid-snore, both movements effectively causing him to fall out of the tiny chair with a boom that shook the entire room. A snarl came from his lips as a pain shot up his right arm. His sprained wrist was just about finished healing, too. "THE <********>! Ow!"
He rolled over, off the re-injured hand, to face the intruder. A bunch of change lay near his feet, along with the pen and paper. The tall-ish intruder who had startled him was also there, though Dmitriev was at least a foot taller. His uninjured hand went for a coat pocket, where he had a gun--just in case--but did not pull it out.
"You've got ten seconds to explain why you're here before I'm able to get up and kill you," he said from the floor. He was already pissed, but if this was just some random passerby who decided to just have a look inside...well, it'd be another body he'd have to hide somewhere.

Fear rose in Luca right away and the boom of Dmitriev falling to the floor did not help things. He was essentially cowering by the time he was threatened.
He opened his mouth to reply but his brain wasn't thinking so all that came out was a simple, "Uh..." He thrust out the letter though to show the angry man and to save himself from something that was probably going to e very painful.
There was a pain raising in his chest though. He was getting nervous and scared and his heart was beating faster and his breath was coming faster and that was never a good sign with him. He'd start coughing or something soon...

s**t, that hurt. His wrist throbbed with pain. That was going to take at least another couple days to heal. Dammit! And this guy seemed to think shoving paper in his face was going to save his life. Haha...he'd choke him with it once he got up. Then he caught a glimpse of the signature.
Signed, Divinity
Aw crap, the guy was legit.
"Dammit," he hissed again, though whether it was because of his hand or because he felt cheated out of causing someone bodily harm was all up to interpretation.
"What do you want to know?" he asked in a strained voice as he attempted to push himself up from the ground. After questions, he was going to throw the guy out. If this guy asked for a tour, well...no jury would ever convict him. Sort of. Well, in his fantasy world they wouldn't, and that was good enough for him.

"Well, uh..." Luca said shakily still rather fearful for his safety. "Well um, this is all uh, about a kid right? I just... I wanted know, uh, why?"
It sounded stupid, he was aware and before he walked in here he had a whole list of things he wanted to ask. Yet standing here with this man they all seemed to go away and he was left sounding dumb.
He shifted from foot to foot nervously. He wanted to leave now, well actually he wanted to leave five minutes ago, but at the same time he wanted to learn somethings so he settled on being very nervous.

Dmitriev had made it to his knees when the man asked the dreaded question: why? Well, ********. He couldn't tell him why, or else no one would agree to this stupid guardian job. Now if only he could remember that cover story...ah yes.
"They're beings of pure magic that we've given bodies to," he replied, finally able to get on both feet. He fought the urge to cradle his injured wrist, feeling that would make him look weak and not intimidating enough. "Obviously we can't take care of all of them, so we find poor saps like you to take care of that for us. That's why you're here."
Hopefully that wouldn't lead to further questions. His fuse was already short enough, and with the added injury it was severed in half. This guy might make it out alive. Maybe.

Luca bit his lower lip as he shifted nervously and tried to think of something more. This really wasn't going well.
"So I uh... get a kid to look after but I have to live here right? Is that it, anything else I need to know?" He said, still biting his lip every time he paused in his speech. It was a nervous habit.
Hopefully the answer would be 'no' that there wasn't anything important, that way Luca could leave, it would probably make them both happy.

Dmitriev rubbed his forehead. Continuing this conversation would just continue to give him a headache, one whose pain increased exponentially by the second.
"Yes, you have to live here," he stated, just to drive the point though. Thankfully it seemed like the guy understood that already. "There's nothing else you need to know right now. Now please leave before I end up hurting something."
He would learn more when he came to pick up his Sylph. An event he would not be at. Hopefully he'd never have to see the guy again.

Luca shared that sentiment. He could go the rest of his life happily without ever having to lay eyes on Dmitriev ever again. And with the threat of hurting something which he figured was namely himself he nodded, gave a very quiet and mumbled 'thank you,' before he turn and rather quickly left, trying to get away from the frieghtening man as soon as he could.
