It was good that she wouldn't be telling Zak, and so he nodded briefly when she said he didn't leave D'ob. That was good as well. Though as for her question, he didn't really want to answer that, for it would require either the harsh truth of a bold-faced lie; and he hated deception. Thankfully though, something else had caught her attention.
Slowly but surely a wry grin formed on the stallion's muzzle, as his wings shifted against his blood bay hide. "Actually, I do have a little tree growing here in Shrilal. Which reminds me, I should be getting back soon, I don't exactly like to leave it for long periods of time, unless its urgently important," he spoke, his hollow eyes deceving little of the emotion he felt inside. That was just his curse he supposed, to feel so much and yet to be unable to share it to the world around him. Ah well, it wasn't that important anyway. It had always been like that... right? He supposed so anyways, not much would happen to change that.

She couldn't help but grin, and began to prance around in circles, and Skittles clung onto her back as best as he could. "Wonderful! Oh, congratulations, Aitumn!" She managed to stop herself, watching him closely, the same grin on her face. "You must be so proud. I wouldn't mind having a little tree and having children, it would be nice," she admitted, eliciting an 'awww' from the little white rit.
"Oh! You should go back there, then!" His statement of not leaving it for too long had sunk in after the elation caused by the initial shock had worn off. "You shouldn't be away from it for too long!" She did want to know more about Aitumn's unborn child, but that would keep him away from it for too long, and she didn't want that. She could barely wait to see it, though, which caused another grin to spring up into her face. "You have to promise, though, that I can come and see it when it's born, Aitumn. I bet it will look absolutely gorgeous," she said with a giggle, and Skittles nodded vigorously, a broad grin on his face, too. Foals were adorable, in his opinion.

He couldn't help but chuckle, for something so unexpected, he hadn't thought such pride could swell in his chest. "Oh I will Niz, don't worry about that. So I here by promise to let you two come see the foal when its born", though that would either take luck on their part to be here when it did, or require him to go find them. Well, that wasn't too much of a problem, for he did consider himself fairly quick in his step most of the time. More then likely, a quick fly by would give him a good view of the immediate area, no doubt. With a flick of his lenghty midnight tail, the stallion gave a final bob of his head before deciding that it was indeed time to go back to the tree. "Well, I'll be heading back now, take care." For how badly the day had seemed to be, it hadn't ended that way. After all he hadn't seen Niz in awhile, and he had found an audience for his story.
Not to mention, he had hopefully kept her from going to see that brute of an Aeri. Well, that sorta depended on if Skittles could explain it to her, of course, but he had a fair amount of confidence that the message would get through eventually. Slowly, Aitumn turned to go back in the direction he had come from, flicking his ears back to listen, just incase they called out to him once more. Lately, he had been forgetting things like that. Things he use to take pride in. He supposed, it was best to get back into the habit of taking in every little detail around him.

"Bye Aitumn!"
"Yes, bye Aitumn!" She called with a grin, then turned and bolted as fast as her hooves could carry her, a delighted grin spread across her muzzle. Today had been wonderful. She had seen a friend she hadn't talked to in a while, she had found someone else with memory problems, she had heard his story he had promised her, and now she and Skittles would get to see his first child. She didn't know about the rit, but she absolutely adored foals.
She tossed her curly mane and whinnied another good-bye, her heart full to bursting with emotion, as per usual. Skittles, used to her outbursts, clung as hard as he could to her tendril wings, preying to all of the nequus deities that she wouldn't decide to use them for now.
