It was nearing midday as the sun shone across the Pridelands, another beautiful day in the peaceful paradise. The grasses swayed in the gentle breeze, just enough to release the tension of the smoldering African temperature. In the middle, the sun seemed the shine the most on the large landmark, a blessing from the gods in the eyes of some. But to one other, it was anything but, for it only fueled the day to go slower.
Looking up to the cloudless sky, the large cub felt like it had been hours since the sun had moved, his burning pelt flaring out in an array of brilliant orange and his deep red eyes glaring. Rolling over to his golden belly, he huffed out before pushing up and setting down on his haunches.
"ARRG!" He said in a high growl, flopping down to his belly and lifting his paws over his maw and nose. Dust fluttering about him and his tail waved haphazardly in adjitation.
Matlai was bored out of his mind, and this time Semine was not there for him to bother, or anyone else for that matter.

Akida was nearby, so he took the opportunity to say a nice little hello to his other sibling. He weaved through the grass, just as Matlai exclaimed his boredom outloud. His tail was raised high, viewable from the tall grasses. So, he popped out from the grasses and then slowly padded up to the other cub.
"Good Afternoon, Matlai. Nice day, isn't it?"
He smiled, and then plopped over next to his brother. Though, it wouldn't be long before some real fun happened. Or, atleast fun to Matlai. Akida wasn't much of a 'fun' kind of cub. He liked to be serious or scared about most things, and never really enjoyed interacting outside of the safe haven called 'home'.

Matlai nearly jumped, and nearly is used in a stressed tense as he turned sharply and took in the sight of his eldest brother, Akida. Blinking slowly, he glanced up to the sun and smirked slyly to himself, thanking whoever answered his prayers. Akida may not be the bravest of the bunch, but all of the royal siblings knew how to have a good time in his mind.
As the sandy male sat down next to him, Matlai settled himself down in a relaxed manor, his smirk smoothing over to an easygoing grin.
"It's nice if you're in to boring!" He exclaimed with mock drama, "Really, Akida, let's go have an adventure!"

Akida's ears folded back at the mention of being boring. An adventure sounded like a scary thing to do! "I uh ... ... uhmm ..." He rambled for a few seconds before going along with everything. "Alright ... I guess i'll tag along. Just as long as we're safe while we have our adventure!" He grinned and then padded forward playfully.
"So, where exactly did you wanna go, Matlai?"
