They shouldn't call it a flying squirrel 'cause it can't really fly... it should be a gliding squirrel...
Now, if they made a squirrel/bat hybrid that had bat wings... then it would be a flying squirrel... it would be so mutate-y and cute and fly from tree to tree in search of nuts ^.^ heart

Like a squirrel with bat wings? Hmmm, it would probably have li'l bitty feet and the tail would be less fluffy for the sake of aerodynamics, though... 0.o;
