I know we all have other things to talk about, so lets. Talk about anything but FFVII. Remember to follow the rules.

...What the heck ate those things on id's face and arms? they are too equal to be scars, and she wouldn't wear makeup on her arms...
I'm talking about Chrono Cross... What? It's no FF7!

Hey, I've been wondering...
I'm putting this here because it's also about FinalFantasy Tactics...
Could FFT and FFVII have actually been the same place in two different times? I mean, the thirteen Zodiac stones, that both hold a soul of a demon and has amazing energy, could actually be summon materias? I mean, materias are mako energy solidified, right? And the machine through which Cloud got in Ivalice was supposed to be a time machine, not a dimmension travel machine. And at the time of St. Ajora, there were airships, then at Ramza's time there weren't anymore. And Sierra is moved by ancient machines... could they be from St. Ajora's time? Or could the airships from ST. Ajora's times be like Cierra, meaning if was the future of FFVII?
That would mean Altima was actually Jenova? I mean, if it is the past Ajora was revered as a saint and the second appearance was stopped by Ramza, and when Jenova showed up she pretended to be good and holy... and if it was the future... Sephiroth was one of Jenova's children, but, as Kadaj proves, not the only, that would do anything for her...
Ramza was descendant of the one that defeated Altima the last time it showed up... if FFT is the future, could Ramza be Cloud's descendant? After all, they do look alike... But if FFT is the past, the most probable one to be Ramza's descendant is Aeris... after all, Altima deceived Ramza's people, and Jenova Aeris'. And Jenova sent Sephiroth to kill Aeris, as she would to stop another descendant of the first one who defeated her from doing so again, while cloud wasn't considered a threat. Of course, that would mean Ramza's people were the Cetra... They do can use magic, including healing like Aeris does, without using materias, and the Geomancer can use the power of the terrain to attack, and Aeris could feel the land... Not only that, there's Aerith, that look a lot like Aeris, like if they were related somehow (in games, it's not rare for descendants to look the same as predecessors)...

Well, yeah, Aeris is actually a mistranslation, the name was supposed to be Aerith in english too... But even with the same names, with the same job and looking the same, Aeris and Aerith (in those games) are two different people. Cloud do mistakes them, though.

i know in the U.S. there were disks where she was aerith, not aeris..... its funny that way....

I know this is off from what the current topic is, but recently I've been playing a sega genesis emulator, and I have been playing Zero wing. I find this game hilarious because of the horrible mistranslations. Here's two of the lines from the game. Someone set up us the bomb. All your base are belong to us. I'm thinking of shouting all your base are belong to us just randomly at our upcoming Anime convention just to see what happens.

Ah yes, the source of the famous "all your base are belong to us". It became a worldwide meme some time ago, more famous than Rickrolling. I mean, there's a whole site dedicated to AYB pictures, some edits, some reals.

Yeah, I know it's been around for a while, I just haven't played my Genesis in a while, and I don't have that game, until my emulator anyway.

I just noticed...
Samus' (from the Metroid series) cannon is always in her right arm (she's one of the few 2d characters ever without mirroring), so she shots with her right hand. So she must be right-handed.
But since her cannon is always on her right hand she does everything else, including type or write, with her left, making her left-handed...
So what is she, after all?
