In keeping with a detective-ish theme, one of my co-workers just got me completely addicted to Death Note.
I love L. He is made of win and awesome. I kinda want to cosplay him next year at Katsucon just because it would be waaaay too much fun to wander around acting like him for a day. xd

I already finished watching Deathnote .... and it was really awesome ...
I love the way each characters portray their roles ...
Im a fan of L ...
I really dont like the behavior of Light ....
Light is acting like a God and he's just using Misa and the other to obey him ...
I like the story of Deathnote ...

just finished the series like... 10 minutes ago.
it was way good, and totally worth watching.. but i still feel sorta hollow after it all. tho it really ended the only way it could, to put it as my co-worker said to me the other day.
i feel bad for Matt. lol.. he got like.. no air time in the anime. ^^; i'll have to check out the manga to see how they vary the last quarter of the series.

but the story never ends there ...
I know there's still a last episode that they going to release ....

ehh, they could release another ep, but they wouldnt have to really. they pretty much wrapped everything up.
i did just see the second live action movie though, and that was awesome. ^^ i love the places they changed from how the anime went. (tho i'm not gonna mention any spoilers) L is still the greatest character ever XD

I'm through volume 8 of the manga (and at the midway point of volume 7 I was like " o.o "). I sometimes avoid the wildly popular stories for a while, but I decided to check this one out... and I love it. This is the kind of story that I like more for how the characters interact with each other, than the individuals themselves. I like L better than Light, but it's really more that one makes the other.
I've also been watching the anime, but it's looking like my goal of reading the parts in the manga before getting to that part in the anime seems to actually be working this time.
and... for those of you who are like me and get their anime wherever it's most convenient... Brad Swaile as Light? o.o (other parts he's voiced include Quatre Raberba Winner, and Fujiwara no Sai) I saw the cast list before I started watching it, so I was kinda worried that he'd totally mangle it..... but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be

great_alvz I wonder did anyone knows the real identity of the creator and illustrator of Deathnote ? the manga illustrator is the same guy who did "Hikaru no Go"
