I've been donating daily in the chatterbox thread since June 12th and let me tell you, I've met my fair share of mind boggling posts, individuals and donations within that time. So I thought, how about start a discussion relating to some of the crazy things we've seen or had to deal with while donating in the chatterbox donation thread.
I'll start off with an experience I had last night that just made me go 0.o
Someone posted below me, so after some time had passed I sent the kindly reminder PM, saying you accidently missed me on such and such page, looking forward to your trade. It was never read, so I sent an open trade instead with that same message and it was cancelled. I sent a PM asking why my trade was cancelled and explained the donation rules and what not and the girl wrote back saying...Quote: im not giving you anything this is a scam i went back to the forum and read it and it said nothing about people having to give you a donation My mind just did a big WTF. I sent her another PM saying the thread isn't called Donate To The Person Above You for nothing, and left an eyeroll emote.
Another favorite of mine was the guy who was posting for a few days saying that if you were above him you had to start the trade, because he lost his short term memory in an accident and after he posts, he can't remember what he was supposed to do.
So, anyone else have some odd experience to add? Anyone have a crazy excuse someone gave after you sent a PM to them for skipping you? Feel free to share and add to the humor of this thread.

when i started donating in the thread, i gave away more than what i recieved, but i was in a very good mood, and i also believe that any donation is better than no donation, so i dont complain if someone donates below the minimum, however, i soon became broke pretty fast,so someone in the thread advised me to take it easy, and i did . i stopped donating big until i got back on track.
anyways, i started to donate MCs much less often than before, and when i was in a tight spot i donated the bare mimum and a little extra just incase.
And then on a donation i made, someone starts complaining about it.i repeatedly posted in the thread about my situation and tried to reason that recieving a donation is better than recieving no donation, however, this guy was a newcomer and there were several times where he was under my post and he never donated to me.i had made a list of non donators but i thought i would cut him a break and give him something, but the ungrateful p***k PM'd me and tells me how cheap, greedy, and ignorant i am and , just like you, i was likE WTF? and im thinking 'is this guy serious?' who does that?i mean,if i were cheap, i wouldnt donate mc's, if i were greedy, i wouldnt have donated anything to him, and if i were ignorant, i wouldnt have read, and practically memorized the rules.
it really ticked me off that someone who i have never met , and who knows nothing about me would judge and me of being something that im not.
wouldn't it bother you if someone were to judge you on the spot even if they didnt know you?

My sisters friend posted over a guy that had in his post "Do NOT send me trash. If you send me trash I will cancel the trade and start a new one" and when he had to donate to her, not only did he send trash he sent below the minimum. stare
I've been above many people who say "If you want your donation just send a trade."
I got skipped twice by the same girl, but when I pm'd her she did say sorry she was in a conversation and sent me 200g.
I never post again until I have finished the donation to the person above me in my previous post, that way I don't skip (unless my internet decides to randomly log me off, as it sometimes does) then I panic and think "oh no they'll think I'm a skipper" when I get back on I usually give the person 500g or something good.
One girl told my friend she was too poor to donate and she was wearing an angelic pendant and golden laurels!! eek when my friend pm'd her she gave 1 flower and 1 bit of paper lol....

i had one weird skipper... i always make a trade wait for the person below me to start a trade before i make a new post..
one girl skipped me and i nice PMed her. that damn b***h replied "yeah what ever, go tell someone who cares".
also, lately im getting alot of scamming PMs. not those "your guilty of hacking, give me your password" PMs no, regular PMs with a hidden link to a phishing site.. it looks like gaia, but is fake as hell, thanks for gaia telling im not ON gaia..

Recently I've also been getting alot of open ended trades saying you skipped me, send your trade or I will tell Austin you skipped me. They don't give what page I missed them on, so I go back and check my post history, only to find out I've never posted below this person. It's distressing to see that people are trying to scam me this way, and it makes me wonder how many other people have sent them a donation without ever checking their post history to make sure these people were below them.

I was sent a PM from someone in the thread, and he gave the page number and everything, but he had posted below the person below me. Which makes no sense. So I sent him a PM back saying so and he told me that that's not how it showed up on this computer. That made me WTF. :/ I told him to take a screen shot and, if it were true, I would donate to him. We ended up having this long arguement about how he wouldn't take the screenshot but he would have me reported. I sent him a message back about how, if he keeps this up, I would have him banned from the thread in a heartbeat. He replied with something about how he was just kidding and about how he gets people like that all the time. :/ What an idiot. D:
