Problem is that my mom won't allow guns in the house, and I don't know if he might have a gun. If the family sues me, they have to prove I didn't kill him for the hell of it. All I have to say is that he's was in my house taking my stuff, and when I confronted him he tried to attack me. So I grabbed a kitchen knife and defended myself.

I would if the police didn't aleady fail me.

There has always been corruption in every nook and cranny of existence. Even in our own family units. Wherever there is power of any ammount, there is corruption. 3nodding

The main problem with the frivolous lawsuits is that there are too many lawyers. There are too many lawyers because parents/counselors are pushing the high paid jobs on students who are wanting to go to college. Too many lawyers and not enough doctors. (The two most typical jobs that people think about when they think "high paying jobs"...) But which one do YOU think is harder? Poor doctors too, they're so often the targets of those frivolous lawsuits. But I guess I can rant all I want, because I got sued for WAY more than they should have gotten for the accident I caused. (They had already been paid for car repairs and medial bills, and they weren't even injured. They even continued on their planned trip to the mall after the accident.) They wanted 33k per person for three people! (My insurance only pays 25k per person, which is the HIGH end of it. That's just in case somebody has serious permanent damage. These people had NO problems.) They were all claiming lost wages, but two of them were just kids! domokun
