The following is fan-script, but because I'm the guild captain, this is the general rule of the beginning of the world. At least for this guild.
The world began like any other you might have read about. From infinite darkness. But in this infinite nothing, three beings rose from unconsciousness to start all that is known today. As they approached each other, they brought their powers together to start life. These beings we’re named Solaris, Victus, and Vinco-Vici-Victum. Time, Life, and Control. Bringing their powers into one physical object, they created everything we know today. Seeing their work sprout forth from a singular planet, Solaris pointed to the area where they had met in this infinite expanse. In this area, a rock, the third of it’s kind from a star, was growing at a unreal rate - conscious beings had already begun to arise, thanks in part of Victus. These animals were varied and all of them possessed different natural elements, as decreed by Vinco-Vici-Victum. As Solaris began to take interest, they rock began to move, and all of what they created moved into action. Day and night had been created.
Very proud of their work, The Three Gods descended upon the land they had created. Walking among their work, they began to see their work start to unfold among themselves. They were obsessed with their own survival, that they had begun to attack those who would pose a threat to their own goals. Knowing the world would not last long if things carried on like this, Vinco-Vici-Victum became discouraged, unpleased with his work. In a bout of anger, he started unleash some of his power on the unsuspecting creations, which fell instantly to his will. The intervention of Victus calmed him, claiming not all were like these, and showed him a civilization. This is the first recording of any such place, where these creatures worked together and developed each other. Vinco-Vici-Victum was amazed, his fury calmed, and his pride shown like the sun.
Victus led her friend to something that was more amazing - something she had seen with these new creatures. The omnipresent beings approached the ruling family of the civilization, and watched something new, something Awesome. There, in the arms of a woman, lay a baby. The first baby born of this world. Another child lay in the arms of the father, a small blue one. Proud of these two, the gods gave them the power of flight through wings of light, and left without another word. Meeting with Solaris, the three decided to leave them something else. Conversing for a while, Seven year, in fact, the three decided to leave gems of power for the civilization to use and control. These gems would be nigh unbreakable and possess powers more awesome then that of a normal being. But to make these gems work, with power, more beings, such as themselves, would need to be born. Following in suit with their creations, Victus produced seven offspring, each with it’s own power, influenced by their surroundings on the rock. The offspring were strong, and grew fast. Solaris, eager on seeing them grown, used his powers over time to help their growth.
After so little time had passed, the seven children were full grown and testing their respective powers. Victus took it upon herself to name her children herself, creating some discontent with Vinco-Vici-Victum and Solaris. She named the child of water Chaos, as the rushing waters of the rapids were unpredictable, and his mood was as well. The child of Fire, she named Iblis, strong and steady, like his father, Solaris. Her most intelligent child Mentis, a cool and calculating mind. Tempestas, the child of thunder and lightning, with her loud and commanding voice. Aequus was the calmest child, oft resting in the mountain air. Munimentum was very protective of his little sister, Sanctus, and they very rarely were seen apart. Sanctus was a frail girl, but took after her mother very much, and became a favorite in Victus’s eyes.
The children grew more adept at their respective powers, and the parents thought it would be time to follow-through with their final gift to the world. Creating seven different colored gems, symmetrical in every way and similar to each other, they placed their children in them gently and sealed them away. During this time, Victus could not be consoled, as she did not wish her daughter Sanctus to be taken away. As they gave their children to the beings on the planet, Victus finally gave up her daughter, but on the grounds she was not given to the beings just yet, and placed her high on a mountain top. The base of which was the civilization.
Munimentum, sealed within the green emerald, sat on top of the civilization floor, which a mighty statue of the leader was build, and on his crown rested the Emerald. The statue gleamed at night, protecting the town with it’s presence. But the creatures of the town need not fear what was on the outside. The civilization became something else at night. The inhabitants became something new. They were not themselves in the moonlight. For at this time, a second entity overcame all of the inhabitants, a second soul, brought out upon them. Some were kind, like their counterparts, but most were evil. This was brought on by the ‘Mephiles’, or the Dark One, which lay on the outer conscious of all sentient beings. Munimentum could not protect the town from themselves, and this made the god very upset.
Iblis, sealed within the red ruby, sat upon the real crown of the King. Given to him personally by Solaris, the King wore it with pride. This pride went to his head, as well as the influence of Iblis’s strength, and he soon started to go mad with power. Not a role model for his children already, and a warmonger, the crown only re-doubled his abuse toward his first son, who was born with a heart condition. Iblis’s power was untapped, and his imprisonment in the emerald only served to anger him.
Chaos, sealed within the blue sapphire, was placed near the river, in a small shrine. From the shrine, reports came that small creatures inhabited the area, repeating the phrase ‘chao’ over and over again. The water from this area ran pure, and the creatures started to show traits like those of the inhabitants of the civilization. This caused great want for the ‘chao’ and soon they started becoming pets. The first egg found was given to the Royal family, in which the Queen gave it to her first son. The Second son, a favorite to the King, was jealous, but his father’s warning on the pets were that they would make one soft. Chaos was upset all it’s children were being captured and taken away, and could do nothing but sit and watch.
Tempestas, sealed within the Golden Topaz, Was given to the first born daughter, as a token of beauty for the Royal family. Within four years, the daughter was a real wild-child, and had a booming voice and great reflexes. Exposed to the Emerald since birth, the result was only to be expected. Unlike other gods, this one was content watching the girl grow.
Aequus, sealed within the Turquiose, was lost on a campaign to take out the humans. During the final attack, the humans pulled out an impressive tactic, which crippled the forces of the first civilization and forced a retreat, where the Turquiose was left behind. Angered by the ferocity of the pointless fighting, the normally gentle Aequus seethed within his prison.
Mentis lay within his purple Amethyst, pondering ways to escape his imprisonment and return to the land where his parents were. Unlike the rest of the gems, he was tossed aside, the King not feeling any improvements over himself as he held the Amethyst. This made the god angry. The small minded king could not comprehend all the things that Mentis could do for him, and had just tossed him aside. The Emerald was picked up by an animal, and was never seen from for a very long time. The anger that he felt the day he was tossed aside never left him.
Sanctus, imprisoned and alone in the gleaming Diamond, wept aloud at the lost of her siblings. On top of the mountain, the only enjoyment she received is her brothers caring glow from down below, knowing that she was still close to him. Depression set in when the dawn came, and often she saw the army head out, furthering her despair at the pointless wars and battles for power, when all of them could just get along together. As the sun rose on another day, she sank deeper into despair.
Vinco-Vici-Victum watched on, as the children became more and more discouraged. Knowing he needed to do something, he consulted his wife, Victus. The goddess of life dwelled upon it for a while, and came up with the answer. Vinco-Vici-Victum allowed his powers into a larger Emerald, and sent it upon the world. But he no longer trusted the civilization he entrusted his children to, so he built a floating island above the surface, and made a shrine in the middle of the island devoted to his Emerald. He created seven pedestals along with his shrine, and placed seven doppelgangers, in which his children could appear to.
As time went on, The royal family died off, as the daughter walked off one day, never to return. The First born suffered a heart attack and died early on in life, and the second son, the twin of the first, died in combat next to his father. The mother, saddened, died from despair over her family. Years went by, and different civilizations sprung up. The first was named ‘Chaos Guard’. The others mimicked the practice of the Chaos Guard, and soon wars became more rampant, and the fight for power was the only thing on ones mind. The act of caring was lost, everyone was out to get you. Only the humans who survived the first wars were aware the downward spiral their world was in, and sought to correct it. Gathering the Emeralds they took in their possession, they soon were able to recover all seven, and built a machine to harness all their energy and call upon the time god to rectify just where everything had gone wrong. Upon harnessing the gems powers, the lead scientist and his grandson, attempted to bring Solaris to them. This proved a mistake. Solaris appeared before them, but being pulled from being omnipresent to one physical being was too much of a stretch for his mentality, and he went mad, destroying the complex. Both the grandfather and his grandson made it out alive with the emeralds, but the released Solaris released the gods of the Emeralds, which had been cooped up for so long. Released, the pent up rage of each and every misdeed upon them came raging out, unable to control themselves. Doing this brought forth the rise of the physical Mephiles, which, unlike Solaris, obtained a calculating mind.
This Mephiles attacked Iblis, invading his mind. Solaris only had a few moments of seeing his son before the Dark One took a hold of his son, and his fleeting moments of joy were crushed as Iblis immediately went insane, attacking his father. The first bloodshed had been unleashed, and Solaris fled. Iblis lapped up the blood of his father, before Tempestas tried to intervene by rationalizing with her brother. Iblis immediately clove her in two. Grieving over the loss of their sibling, the rest of the gods attacked Iblis and Mephiles, but the combined fury of both was too strong, and many were crushed. Chaos, the god of water and healing, fled his siblings, choosing life over what he had deemed a hopeless effort. After fleeing, he healed himself, where he felt the emotional ratifications of leaving his kin to die. Mentis didn’t stand much chance against the irrational fury of Iblis. Unable to see a strategy against his brother, Mentis only choice was to flee, but he was too late, and his brother devoured him in his flames of disaster. Sanctus stepped in to try one more time to rationalize with her brother. Mephiles was threatened by her sanctity, and ordered Iblis to harm her. A battle of wills proceeded, before Iblis’ was finally crushed and Mephiles used his body to crush Sanctus - only for Munimentum to step in-between, saving his sister, allowing her to flee.
Vinco-Vici-Victum arrived only to find the crazed Iblis, and Sanctus fleeing toward her father. Before telling her father all that happened, Solaris stopped time, stopping all in it’s tracks. He told Vinco-Vici-Victum all that had happened, but twisted the story in his madness. He told him that all their children had gone mad, attacking their creations, corrupting them. Victus wouldn’t believe her daughter would do such a thing, but Solaris assured her. Vinco-Vici-Victum was convinced that the only way to quell the fighting was to use the Emerald. As he began to stop all of them, Solaris started time again, Iblis immediately chased Sanctus, which had stopped due to her father’s disappearance. As she turned, Iblis came upon her, where she was saved once more, as her mother jumped in the way of the blast of fire.
In the despair of losing her siblings and mother, Sanctus fell to her knees. Solaris intervened to destroy her as well, but Iblis had sent another blast, and nearly obliterated him. In an attempt to save himself, he hid himself in the smallest of forms - a solitary flame.
Iblis, in all his madness, cried out for his father, and Mephiles no longer had any more use for him. Inhabiting the flame of Solaris, Mephiles tried to draw upon his powers, but when Vinco-Vici-Victum intervened, He used his Emerald to return them all to their respective gems, but Iblis resisted and attacked them all in one final blast, in an attempt to connect with his father, and was fired into the flame with Mephiles and Solaris. This last action corrupted the action taken by Vinco-Vici-Victum and obliterated the last god of beginning.
But this action resonated further then the battle of the gods. The scientist and his grandson, still with Emeralds on hand, had the Chaos Control evoked upon them, and were sent to the past in the last glimpse of all three powers. This hellish land of the future was wiped from the records, but the gods, being omnipresent, were still gone, forever lost.
When the grandson awoke, he could not find his grandfather. No, he was still lost in the rift in time. Alone and hungry, the grandson checked himself - a handgun and his clothes. Befriending a small animal - a hedgehog, in fact, he was allowed entrance into, what he didn’t know to be, the first civilization. As realization dawned on him, he was suddenly taken a hold of dark thoughts. Using his advanced scientific brain and handgun, he attempted to take over the civilization, killing the parents of the small hedgehog - the King and Queen. This ended in an uproar, in which he fled to the north, pursued doggedly by the Twins, who left their sister behind. As they pursued the monster who had killed their parents, one twin was lost to a devious trap. The last, who had a heart condition, met with him in the icy tundra. Holding unto his precious green Emerald, He was shot in the heart, and fell over, never to open his eyes again. The grandson of the scientist fled with the red Ruby in hand, and found a time rift, which spit him out thousands of years later. What he didn’t realize is that the hedgehog he shot thousands of years ago in the icy Tundra had been found - frozen in an ice burg. His heart was still beating - thanks to the Green emerald still clutched in his hand. A government society known as the Guardian Unit of Nations had sent one of their operatives to the icy tundra to test his capabilities, and had found the Hedgehog incased in ice. Revived by the organization known as ‘G.U.N.’, he soon escaped the complex early on to find his world upside down. The Grandson of the scientist now had a name, and was at large with his threats and takeovers. Ivo Robotnik had killed his parents and his brother. He would pay for his life.
The scientist responsible for the battle of the gods, Dr. Gerald Robotnik, showed up almost completely out of nowhere. He came from no place, but his scientific prowess was unmatched in any field. He battled for control of his mind for many years, for a fragment of Mephiles lay in his soul since The Battle. He lost when his adoptive granddaughter - Maria - was shot and killed by the very organization he now worked for, and succumbed to Mephiles will. He finished creation of the biolizard and gave him fiendish qualities, before finally being caught and imprisoned.
His grandson appeared later on, thanks to the time rift, at the time his grandfather was executed. He didn’t know of his grandfather’s existence in this world until much later, but Mephiles could sense him, and the fraction of the Dark One infected Ivo as well, leading him and his knowledge on robotics to become on of the most feared leaders in the world - and that much more gratifying when the last survivor of the Royal Family got his revenge.

Thats great and all, but it ignores some key facts. Like the way Tikal is sealed within the emerald with chaos and how the echidna tribe watches over the emeralds.
And also, no offense, but it's extremely unrealistic that the government, even if they could unfreeze Super safely, would just let him walk off. Plus they have no real reason to unfreeze him. If they wanted his emerald then they could easily chip it off him and unfreeze it much quicker that an actual person. Its just very unrealistic.

He didn't walk out. He retrieved his Emerald and used a Chaos Control - Note that this is supposed to be like reading from a book - it always leaves out facts that haven't been discovered.
Plus, notice that this is the start - The echidna tribe happened to come out much later in time.
And the part about unfreezing Super - Wouldn't you like to know what life was like back then? Instead of studying a frozen body, wouldn't it work out to talk with them?
