All hell has broken loose in the realm of SmackDown, and as a result, The Great Khali stands tall as the new World Heavyweight Champion.
In an incredible set of circumstances in Laredo, Texas, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long ordered Edge – who has been sidelined for the next several months by a pectoral injury – to relinquish his World Heavyweight Title. That same evening, a Long-directed 20-Man Battle Royal would determine a new champion, who proved to be none other than The Great Khali.
In addition to this shocking turn of events, SmackDown’s GM also declared that Batista and Kane would go head-to-head in a No. 1 Contender’s Match, with the winner facing the Punjabi colossus at The Great American Bash. Who won that contest, and the right to challenge for the World Heavyweight Title this Sunday? How did The Great Khali beat down 19 other championship-thirsty Superstars and walk away with the gold? And what was Edge’s reaction to having the gold stripped right off his Rated-R waist?
Ok this can't be right, wwe just lost the the most talented heel, AND THEN
they give the title to KHALI? there so many more who desvere a chance other then the the great talentess khali, AND THEN they give the number contenders match to BATISTA? MR. NO PASSION? and Kane for no reason gets a title shot...
I'd like to take this moment to say that I'm now done with Smackdown

Don't you HATE going on WWE.com and seeing this kind of CRAP on there?
Kahli shouldn't be carrying the title... Let's just face facts... No one UNDERSTANDS him! Can't be a marketable character without some kind of charisma. I think it's stupid personally, but I think it's just to have Batista have the title back honestly. Batista couldn't fight Edge again for the title, but that's where the stipulation ended. When Edge got injured I think they had to hustle and have something happen... and realistically Kahli is much more strong then the 20 men he fought against (regardless of who it was to be honest).
The title will get back to Batista before too long I hope because at least he's got SOME charisma.
Bah I hate spoilers from wwe.com.... They really shouldn't screw SD over like that and post them on the website. They did that when Edge won the title in Pittsburgh too. I think it's bad marketing. I hate watching SD as it is... this just makes it worse.

As for Bastista having Charisma: wtf!? I don't buy that, whenever he talks, it's the same way ever time! it's always "I'm so calm and cool yo" then it's "well if you want a fight YOU GOT A FIGHT" takes off his shirt blah blah. As far as I see it, smackdown needs to bring up some of the mid-carders like kenny and Matt, THEN I'll start watching again, I'm sick of seeing bastista and khali in the WHC mix, as for Kane, I don't like him at all. But at least there sorta mixing da pot.

smackdown is hard for me to watch anymore too
but Batista is HOT
so hot
Matt Hardy not bad to look at either-lol
sorry, i know this wasnt the discussion you wanted, but that about all i get out of smackdown anymore

Anything's better then Kahli... and yeah right now smackdown is seriously desperate for some GOOD talent to come back from injury.

I heard rays coming back july 24th though! (cause that's when smackdown records there events for those of you that didn't know) but I don't think there going to get him back in the heavyweight division. Apperently though, he want's to come back to his feud with Chavo.
I'm changing the point of this thread, considering this is basicly just a hate thread :/

well, i think it will be cool for Rey for to finally come back, but i don't think that he should resume the feud w/ Chavo; not after the whole thing w/ Benoit....yea, let them wrestle, let them have awesome matches, but i don't really see the point of them resuming the feud; cause wasn't their feud over who was preserving Eddie's memory or something?......Haven't the superstars/families/fans suffered enough over the recent tragic losses of great wrestlers without there being a feud or storyline or whatever you wanna call it? Maybe I am confused over what was behind the feud, so if I am, just let me know.
They will have some good matches though, so it wont be all bad....and I do have one compliment for SmackDown-besides the hot Batista and Matt Hardy 4laugh and that is the commentary.....ok, now JR and Jerry are my faves, but JBL is surprisingly a great announcer....I was ready for him to just piss me off every time he talked, but he comes off w/ some hysterical s--t!! He and Michael Cole work really well together, and help make SmackDown more bearable to watch.
okay I am done for now. I am trying to give SmackDown a chance. I know that once you get past the beefcake, there is some talent there, they just have to get it back on track.

About the Rey/Chavo thing. It doesn't make much sence. Considering the last match they had was a I quit match (Right?) So it really doesn't make sence that Rey is coming back to Smackdown.
But considering the lack of talent right now, I see where there are coming from

i agree about the I Quit matches......they really have turned into " I quit--long enough to go to the doctor, or go on vacation, or renegotiate my contract and then i'll be back"
I'd like them to have more Hair versus Hair matches....or something similar that is permanent, since the I Quit seems to be a temporary thing anymore
oh-and I know he is on Raw now, but it would be nice to have a stipulation for Snitsky-win or lose- to scrub that nasty grill of his. It would probly take some WD-40, 3 boxes of Brillo, and a week or so to do it, but it would be worth it.....maybe he has some kind of heredity thing that he cant help, but to me it is just damn lazy and gross to look at.
