I'm so relieved that I'm not the only lolita who experiences this. I have a chubbier face, short (5'2), and have a high-pitched voice. I never really thought about how young I appear at first glance until I met my older sister's boyfriend who thought I was a middle school-er or freshman in high school. I'm 17 years old... I don't feel particularly upset by this realization, but the fact that I am "perceived" by other people urks me. I try to avoid thinking about how many people judge me based on my appearance. Although, I can't help but feel curious about that very judgment, but that's probably my anxiety talking. 4laugh
