Any advice on playing standing up? I can't seem to be able to move my fingers fast, and I can't palm-mute very well.
Advice?

how low do you have your guitar...the lower your guitar is the harder it will be to play with your fret hand but its easier on your pick hand

It takes time. Just practice playing while standing up, I just recently learned to actually "play" while standing up after a few months of only sitting down. And also slaytalera is right, the lower your guitar, the harder. But when I pull mine up to a good level, it looks like I play for the Beatles... Anways, yeah just practice.

Yeah it does look a little funny, but I play with my guitar kinda high up. It makes it a lot easier to play quickly and pretty much anything else you'll want to do.

I've been practicing it while playing Bark at the Moon (helps me with picking and palm-muting fast) while standing up and i found the height where it's perfect, for me, at. Right along my hip.

don't wear your strap low and tilt the guitar up so you can play faster it might not work for palm muting though

It depends on what you play.
Lead/Soloing Keep guitar high up.
Rhythm Guitar can be low, not too low.
Both Find a comfortable guitar. Or keep it high and as close as you do sitting down.
May look gay high up, but it works.
Play whats comfortable to you.

I play with it at my hip, maybe a little lower... It's really comfortable and I can do everything I need to for lead.
