Shi_Yatsu I killed off Eileen in my first playthrough, but I don't think she even appeared in 2 so...
Oh, same here. The only chara I remember having the problem with was Eileen. And she was one of my fave charas, so I always made sure to reset the game and not lose her. razz

I also reset when characters die. Only in my first playthrough I didn't, but I lost that save so I couldn't load it into 2... Either way I know at least Luc can die, my friend did kill him off once (and promptly reset). Just gotta get luckly and not get the "injured" message.

I killed Ernst once. That's SV, though.. so does it count?
It was the first anyone died in battle before for me.
Needless to say I was surprised when I found out characters can die in Suikoden.

Chikuu I killed Ernst once. That's SV, though.. so does it count? It was the first anyone died in battle before for me. Needless to say I was surprised when I found out characters can die in Suikoden. Funny story I had a whole unit of killable characters and that unit got massacred and everyone died. My brother laughed at me so I reset and re-did the war with that unit but kept them in the back... sweatdrop

I didn't know you could kill off characters in 5. After all the unit losses my dudes never died. I must make it my mission (in fantasy, too lazy IRL) to kill mr. Mohawk! So do they give you a special message when chracters die, or do their slots in the tablet of stars just turn grey?

Is Suikoden 2, the first time through I killed Hannah the warrior and Emilia the librarian lady... at least. Hannah still hung out in the restaurant and I could still user her in battle. Totally creepy. o_____o' I don't think I killed off any major characters, though...

When I killed Ernst in V, I think there was a special message and the girl that was with him disappeared too. It's very evident that they die.
