Makes some sense though, since George Lucas was friends with Joseph Campbell, a renowned mythology scholar. 3nodding dis starwars and i will have to kill you. idc if your the captain here, im telling you off! besides, you've just broken one of your own rules. no directly bringing up religion/polotics. and i'd consider that bringing up religion

1: That is a GUIDELINE rule
2: That rule wasn't my idea, and it arose because people got immensely angry when other people brought up religion/politics, and there was a thread that was just 20+ pages of argument, and it was getting to be too much, and people were taking it personally. This is the same reason we added "Don't piss off/offend any of the crew members." Though many people wanted to add "especially the captain" to that.
3: I was bringing up something that amused me, and did not intend for it to make anyone angry or to have someone argue with me over it, I never said that it was wrong, just that I found it amusing. I even said it made SENSE that someone would make a religion of it.
4: It's not really bringing up religion, it's bringing up that the state of society currently is very strange, otherwise nobody would make up a religion based on a movie. And that is my opinion, which I am fully and entirely entitled to.
Quite sorry for the lecture, but you brought it up.

and besides, the fact that someone would make a religion over that is a good idea. it has great virtues. way better than the ******** muderous christian religion
