Cheshire grasped the key, fiddling it between it's fingers as he eyed the maze. His smile reached the ends of his cheeks as he lifted the key into view before tossing it in the air. "And it will be assistance you need." He caught the key with his other hand, gently twirling it in his fingers before clasping his hand over the vines, maze and golden gleam.
He glanced at Shakuni and swiftly sat so that he was closer to the coolness of the temple floor. With legs pretzeled over eachother, he chuckled. "Why, Fair Lady, I must say that this look is not very becoming on you. But it grows on me." He said pointing out the smirk, yet fully aware that Shakuni was within another state.
He did not lower his head in appreciation to the avatar for his gift, he merely took it as if it were meant to be. No thanks needed when dealing with fate. "And dearest Avatar, I must say I love your style almost as much as my own. Fair Lady thinks highly of you. But she cannot be comfortable whilst you posses her body, can she?"
Slowly he reclined backwards, elbows holding his weight. "Just curious I suppose." He smiled down at the key that was working it's way through his fingers.

The avatar chuckled at Cheshire's behaviors. Indeed, the key had been perfect for him. Hopefully, he would not proceed to confuse his messenger when she came out of her trance. "Priestess Shakuni has been touched by the gods themselves. She is very used to being such a channeler of our wishes." He reached down to stroke Shakuni's hair before falling back into place once again. "Nevertheless, it is my time to leave you now, but I suppose I should at least leave my name. I am Hermes, messenger of the gods."
The avatar clicked his winged heels together before turning his attention elsewhere. "In any case, use your key and your abilities to leave even the sharpest of nails dulled and baffled. In the meantime, I am leaving you. Cheshire, do not baffle Fair Lady too terribly." And, with one last chuckle, the mirthful god left.
Light began to shine in the room again, Shakuni fell from her trance, and the lights disappeared as if they had never existed and would never exist again. What remained was the key Cheshire held in his hand.

Cheshire looked upon Hermes with a mirthful smirk. And barely lifted a two fingers in a subtle wave. Then his interest turned towards Shakuni. Giddiness alighted in his eyes as he watched her trance seep away from her.
"My, my, my." Cheshire reclined further if possible. " Now that was interesting...How is your head?"

"My head is fine, thank you." Shakuni seemed utterly unphased by the possession. Perhaps she was as used to it as Hermes had implied. She nodded to he cattish manifestation before standing up. The priestess brushed herself off. "You seem very relaxed." Somehow, that wasn't surprising. He behaved like a royal cat, after all.
She gestured to the entrance of the temple. "You can leave, if you please, Cheshire." There seemed nothing more to do. Now that the gods had sighted him, he had chosen his path, and he was rewarded with a key, his task was finished.

Cheshire's grin was amplified as he caught onto a moment of torment. He stood and glanced around the temple with mock confusion. "Leave what?" He asked simply, making his way towards the entrance in which he came. He stopped short of the exit and turned towards Shakuni.
"Ah, my fair lady." He tuts, flipping the key in his fingers. "Eagerness is not becoming of one such as yourself either."
He turned once more towards the light. "But you can't help that, can you?"
He loved it. And he nonchalantly stepped out.
