The book I'm reading, The Right to Write, suggests I take time out of my morning (or anytime of the day that is most convenient) and write 3 pages. Everyday. About anything. Usually about the first thing to pop into your head. This supposedly gets you used to writing, setting aside more and more time for the art, and will help you generate ideas and get into the habit of writing so that when you are ready to focus on an actual piece of writing, you will be accustomed to letting it flow, like on those three pages.
Free flowing ideas. smile
