Wii Zapper -- The Everybody Gunner
The Wii Zapper (name also not final) brings older gamers back to Nintendo's earlier hunting game Duck Hunt. The $19.99 device is a mere housing for both the Wii Remote and it's other handed Nunchuk controller. With the promise of packaging the Wii Zapper with software (similarly to how Nintendo packed a copy of Wii Sports with the purchase of a new controller), the company had nothing to say what software that would be -- Duck Hunt Wii seems like the most logical guess. Yet, developers were already showing Wii Zapper-enabled software at E3 2007. Capcom's continuation of its zombie killing masterpiece Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, Sega's arcade-born shooter Ghost Squad and even EA's WWII shooter series Medal of Honor showed that bigger developers have already signed on to support the peripheral. Apart from shooting games, the Wii Zapper might be favored by players looking for better Wii Remote accuracy in their games, especially when more head-to-head online play gets competitive. And with other Nintendo brands like the sci-fi themed Metroid Prime, first person shooter games with a heavy focus on sniping and other distance shots
