GUILD CREW INFO

What is the difference between a normal member and a crew member?
A crew member has more powers. In terms of administrative powers they can send guild invites, accept member requests, they can move/edit/delete topics, and can ban members if they deem it necessary.

How can I become a crew member?
To become a member of a crew you have to be someone who is constantly active in the guild and be someone we feel like we can trust. There is no specific requirement(s).

What happens if a crew member abuses their power(s)?
They will be removed from the crew.

Is there a limit to how many crew members there can be?
As far as MJ is aware of there is no limit. However, she probably won't have more than 15 members on the crew.

Are there any special advantages of being a crew member in THIS guild?
In this guild the crew members will run the Guild Groups (which will eventually recieve a snazzier name). This means they will be put in charge of their own group thus they get a guaranteed leadership spot if they want it.

General Contest Info

How do I find out about contests?
To learn about official guild tournaments (contests) check out the Competition subforum.

What are the contest rules?
The rules vary from contest to contest and should be fully explained inside the thread pertaining to the contest you're interested there. If this is not fully explained post your question in the thread and it will be answered ASAP.

What are the prizes and how are they determined?
Like the rules, the prizes vary from contest to contest. The type of prizes given out is determined by looking at the following factors: Difficulty of contest, amount of time alotted, and number of competitors. Basically, the harder the contest is to win the greater the prize will be.

Can I run my own contest?
Yes, these are called the guild games. To do so you start your own thread in the competition forum.

.:Guild Factions:.

What is a Guild Faction?
A guild faction is a group inside of the group (basically a mini guild inside of our guild). They are meant to be similar to the different houses in Harry Potter (which is rather similar to how the 'colleges' work at Rice University).

What is the point of the Guild Factions?
At the moment we are a small guild which makes knowing members easy. However, as we grow the guild will become less personal. The idea of the factions is to have a smaller group that members' can bond with. They are also designed to have members of similar interest & spark more competition inside of the guild.

How does the Faction system work?
Each guild faction has a leader*. This person is in charge of creating, running, and moderating their faction's thread. The leader is appointed by MJ and must be a crew member. This will limit the number of factions. To become a member of the crew send a request to MJ with a nice long explanation of why you should be on the crew. Being on the crew automatically allows you to start your own faction. The factions can have their own competitions, games, and etc. Once a month the factions will compete against each other in the Guild Cup.*

*=name may be changed

How do I join a faction?
To join a faction you need to fill out an application (which will be designed by the faction leader) & PM it to them. It is up to them whether or not you are allowed to join their faction.

Can I join multiple Factions?
No. If you decide you're not happy with the faction you are a member of send a message to the faction leader and wait until you are removed from the faction member list before you apply to a new one.

What are the requirements for a faction?
The following is a list of requirements that need to be met:

  • Each faction must have a leader. NOTE: This leader no longer has to be a crew member.
  • The first post must explain the factions ideals, what they're looking for, etc. The rules should also be in this post.
  • The second post must be a member list for that faction.
  • The third post should contain the application to join.
  • Fourth post should contain all contest information
  • It is not required but highly reccomended that you have a FAQ in the fifth post.
  • Guild factions must comply with the guild rules & the ToS.

The Marauder's Art

The following are a few common questions asked about the Marauder's Art Forum.

Can I open my own graphics forum?
Yes, just create a new topic and fill it with all your stuff.

Can I open more than one?
We'd really rather that you didn't although for the time being it won't be a rule. Your stuff will be easier to find if you keep it in one thread. The only exception to this is if you want to have seperate display & comission threads [one thread to show off your work another to do comission funsies].

Can I do comissions?

yes.

Are there any rules regarding the art that I can display?
Follow the ToS, no nudity, nothing overly erotic. It can be realistic or anime. Just make sure it's appropriate.

Some of my art has been deleted! What happened?
This means either A: the art in question was deemed innappropriate or B: There is an a** in the guild crew. If it is the latter of the two the problem will be taken care of. You will be aware of it being the first because we'll either leave a post explaining that it was innappropriate & why or a PM.

The Pranks Forum

Here are some general Qs & As regarding our new prank forum!

Can I open my own thread in this forum?
Of course! We want your ideas! We'll all benefit from them. biggrin

Are there any limitations on the pranks I'm allowed to describe?
As long as rape, incest, and/or strawberry pudding [kidding on the last one] aren't involved in your prank you're fine.

How do I get my prank idea into one of the stickies?
Simple! You can post it in there or if enough people respond to your idea in a positive way we'll put it in there for you. If it's really popular we'll put it in the main posts at the beginning which hold the best & brightest pranks we've ever seen.

The Marauder's Quest

Here are some general facts:

What is this forum?

This forum was designed to hold individual quest threads for our members.

What's the point?

The point of a quest thread is to advertise what you're saving up for and how close you are. It's possible although not guaranteed that this will compell people to donate to you but if nothing else you get a few bumps and some moral support. biggrin

How Many quest threads are we allowed?
For the time being just one quest thread per person. It keeps things from getting messy.

Is there a limit to how much stuff we can be questing at once?
Not at all, it usually helps to have a specific focus though [for example I want this whole outfit BUT I'm currently saving up for the demonic anklets]
