Hi i'm 14 to ^-^ and according to the WW website a healthy weight range for you would be between 124 - 142 lbs. As for how to start i'm still trying to figure that out myself but the best advice i guess is to exercise,go for a walk, ride a bike, play basketball,go swimming, anything that will get your heart pumping is good.

Well, basically you just have to start excersizing more and stop eating unhealthy foods. Easier said than done, though. domokun I found starting a food diary helped a lot. Also remember you need 2 kinds of excersize: aerobic and anarobic. Aerobic is anything that gets your heart rate up, like tae bo or DDR or jumping jacks. Anarobic is building muscle, so things like freeweights (2-8lb dumbbells) work for that. Aside from not eating unhealthy foods, you need an otherwise balanced and healthy diet, which includes 3-5 servings of fruit and vegetables every day, plenty of water, and more (basically look at a food pyramid). A common misconception is that you lose weight by not eating enough or by skipping meals, but that's all a lie! You need to eat sufficient meals (ALWAYS eat a healthy breakfast) or your body will think there's a famine going on and hold on to all the fat it can. It might take a while, but just start living a healthy lifestyle and you'll eventually lose weight. 3nodding Good luck, you can do it!

I've posted the Good Health Guidelines (from Weight Watchers) on the first page of the Weight Watchers Discussion thread. If you follow those, y ou can't help but lose weight. It's not magic, it's not a fad... it's real science, and science always works.

(My first post here- yay!) Congrats on starting your weight loss journey! It's great that you're motivated to do it. I've literally just decided to try, too. Walking at a brisk pace is awesome. It's easy, and it's good for you. Especially if you can walk at an incline. Or if you have stairs in your house, just walk up and down them. Your parents might look at you like you're a freak, but it's sort of fun. Really you just have to try and stay motivated, read the posts on here (there's some good information in here), and keep a positive outlook, and hopefully you'll reach your goal! 3nodding
