The reason we're not getting involved in Darfur is simply because it is not profitable. Unlike the Middle East, Africa has few valuable resources. It's certainly wrong to just sit and let it happen, but unfortunately, the U.N. is a selfish institution.
the U.N has been trying for years but sudan hasent been letting them

So it would be pointless to argue about the stupidity of killing people to stop a genocide?

Well, after killing enough nazis and eventauly Hitler, thier genocide stopped.

Though, that is completely unrelated to this.

Hitler comitted suicide.

But why can't a third pary ask both Russia and the United States to stop supporting Darfur's genocide, by cutting of their trade indefinitely?

How is Sudan stopping them? If the U.N. really wanted to get involved they would.

Yeah, the Communists. did any singler person in Sudan ever exclaim "I hate America!"? If they did, That's the reason Russia is helping them.

It is known, that Hitler ended up with a bullet in his brain, but it is not proven if he got shot or commited suicide. But I am getting off topic.

I could take two stating points:
"Why should there ever be troops to stop that killing? Sudan has no really valuable resources. Also a good war also provides good money from the black market."

But, fortunately I am not such an a*****e, to seriously state this point. I think it'd be better to send troops in there, mainly acting on defensive and diplomatic ways. Also they shouldn't just do a come and go job, like defeating the evil and then go. They should be kept there for a longer time, to stabilize security and give them the acknowledgements of technics, to provide a better selfsupply.

Wait a minute, who are the bad guys here? Sudan's government has done next to nothing in terms of alleviating the Darfur conflict. In fact, it's been speculated that they have been assisting the Janjaweed. As far as I'm concerned, Sudan's government is a serious threat to it's own country.
