Last night on RaceLine Radio....

Even more speculative rumor of NASCAR coming to Canada was leaked on NASCAR Canada weekend in Michigan (where they play both anthems now!) and in an interview with Bobby Labonte, Bobby said that Canada's fans were at such a level, NASCAR would capitalize greatly on just giving us 1 race, and not keep us out of the loop. This continues to go on, as RaceLine Radio announcer Eric Tomas asked Bobby what he thought of the rumor that Craftsman Truck Series is coming across the border, and Bobby said almost at the same time as Eric "Something about Calgary..."

Could you imagine a Truck race during the Stampede?! Oh My Gawddddddddd, it would sell out! It'd send huge numbers of NASCAR fans flocking to the west to see the up-and-comer's race.

BUT EVEN MORE TO MAKE US GASP! Pete Shephard, currently 20th in CASCAR points, driving the #50 Dodge, has been invited to Jack Roush's Invitation Only Test Camp and if he succeeds, will be the first Canadian full-time driver in the Truck Series!

THESE ARE BOMBS DROPPED INTO OUR COUNTRY! I am stoked, I wanna move to the west now (from Nova Scotia, get an atlas!), just to if any CASCAR hopefuls can move up in the world and race with the big boys in the Truck Series!
