A friend and I were wondering if you are an actor and are married; you are asked to do a kissing scene. Is it really considered adultery and whatnot? If there's no passion involved, I don't see how it could be breaking that commandment. neutral

If it is just a kiss then I don't know but if they start like making out then i don't know. It also depends if it is OK with their partner that she or he kisses another person.

This is one of those tough "religion vs career" situations (that I hope I never have to go through!). With Hollywood, it's probably the most prominent problem around. I had a discussion about this in church one night during a youth study group. We were talking about scenes where if the couple was married in the performance would it be adultery if they were married to someone else off camera and if such behavior in movies when the couple isn't "screen-married" could be accepted, stuff like that. It was really interesting. But we all agreed, it's definitely a personal matter and issue. However...sorry I don't wanna run upstairs and find the quote, but the Bible has something somewhere that brings up not bringing "adultery, masturbation, pornography, or any other unholy thing into the marriage bed" because that makes your personal love life "tainted" per se. It's really a matter of opinion, but if someone is strong in their beliefs I don't think anything wrong would happen. However, it seems most Hollywood stars are either nonreligious or into Kaballah sweatdrop
