Jula smiled meekly at the Imperial as she ran a hand through her blond hair, the black dye the Governor had insisted on had washed out in the bacta.
"I was standing beside the Governor when the first shot rang out. I lifted my rifle at a couple of hostiles in the balcony and was shot. I think it was a tracer round, I remember a burning sensation afterwards. I passed out, and someone shot me a second time... that time in the shoulder. I woke up and some Lieutenant tried to patch me up when he got hit... I think they called him Bek. Someone pulled me behind the podium and finished dressing my wounds, I'd already passed out by that point. When I woke up, I was floating in bacta. I trust the Governor is dead?"

Colonel Akaga frowned as he heard what had befallen Lieutenant Ford, "So the resistance is still up and operating... damn."

"Yes he is." She said, matter-of-factly. "Now then, what can you tell me about the Govenor's Hutt conections?"

"Well, good riddence. As to the Hutts... well, the Governor came to an understanding with them. He was paid off to allow for their continued operations, and he was planning to use them to equip a militia he was planning."
Jula smiled coldly, "He was afraid of the staff finding out about the arrangement so he had all the electronic transfers and the accounts done through us. I remember the account number the hutts used, it was from the New Karna Locality and Loan. If you could get a slicer and hack into the system you might be able to backtrack the Hutt's money trail."

The officer nodded, even thoug the colonel couldn't see him. "The LT. was just on his way to meet with you, when the attack happened. He was about to enter the gravtruck, when a missle popped out of nowhere and blew it apart. He's the only survivor, being as he wasn't completely in the vehicle and was thrown out; his injuries are fairly heavy.
"We did do an emergency search of the area, and for now the city is under tight security and all traffic is barred, but we've got no results. Shall I pass a message to Lt. Ford, for when he's awake?"

She nodded as she took notes.

"There was one other thing, when the hutt wanted to communicate with the governor, or vice-versa he would use a Twi'lek named...Karnash as an intermediary. I think his comm frequency was 89-Zeta-763. He has a house in town. I could take you there if you want."

Eiko slowly strummed her Shakim-sema and took a sip of one of the local carbonated and caffeinated drinks, her mind not even registering the brand or the taste. Her mind was elsewhere, thinking about her little trick that she was about to spring upon the imperials.
Still grinning she flicked on the holoprojector on her computer and leaned over the repeating displays. Then the image of the imperial seal appeared, followed by the image of the Empire's newest face on the planet, Lu Aman, who had been one of the few journalists on the world willing to sacrifice her integrity for job security.
"Welcome citizens of Seya-Que too the first news broadcast from your new local news service, Seya-Que Citizen Information, today we'll be discussing the recent assassination of the Governor Kol Sirus by terrorists..."
Sighing Eiko sat back and yawned. She had to wait... Her little surprise wasn't going to jump the imps immediately, no she had to let those studio controllers relax a bit before she override them.

Lenler, sat on his mount, staring off into space as the creature munched the soft grasses of the veld. He looked around at the ragtag group of rebels around him. With only one exception, he hadn't known any of them before the invasion, and even now he didn't know any of them well. He doubted that any of them, again with one exception, knew his name; to them, he was just "the kid".
The exception to these apparent rules to his life was, of course Charr. Charr, who had, in the face of all odds, somehow managed to create a resistance that was actually hurting the galactic Behemoth known as the Empire. Charr, who always seemed to know what to do, whatever the situation...
"Whoah now, Lenny" Lenler said softly to himself, chuckling quietly. "Keep going on like this, and they'll think you have a father complex..." Softly spurring his mount foreward, he came up to Charr's left side. Looking quizzically at the map in the Rodian's hands, he asked "What's the plan now, Sep?"

"Simple, kid. We peck the Empire to death." He said. "When dealing with a superior foe, all you have to do is wear 'em out. Like when tusk dogs team up to take down a bantha. A bantha can shrug off a single tusk dog bite. The animal is too big to really feel it. But if theres a pack of tusk dogs, and they keep biting at it, they'll wear it down."
Rolling up his map, he gestured north with it. "The Road to port Loka is our best chance at nipping at 'em. We set ourselves up like bandits and start hitting everything that comes down that road. Thats the plan."
