To stop it from being just a jumble of random names... How about adding as to exactly WHY those two would be good as a fusion? You know, to avoid it being Spamaged......
Like, what parts of the two would help strengthen the other, or what weaknesses will be fixed with the other's natural strength.
Like, let's say Tifa and Vincent.
Vincent is a powerful magician and long distance player, but his close up attack is much to be desired (As seen in DoC. I mean, what, punch, punch, kick?). With Tifa, that weakness is taken out as her specialties lie in CQC (Close-Quarter Combat) as seen in her attacks and limit breakers.
The same goes the other way around. Tifa is good close range, but with the fusion, she gains a good long distance attack.
Then there's the fact that Vincent cannot control what he does whenever he transforms. With the aid of another mind in his head, he gains more control over him and is able to fight and defend more compitantly than he used to.
I can go on and on, but that's about the gist of it. This is an interesting concept and topic, and I'd hate for it to go either into lockage or into a sea of spammy one liners, y'know? Put a little thought into stuff.
I might come back and post a few more fusions I have in mind, most prominantly Aeris and Sephiroth.

how about Barret and Yuffie?
really strong and uber-fast ninja powers - speed and power are a nearly unbeatable match. it would be mostly ranged attacks but with yuffie's speed could evade almost anything and when they do get hit barret's defense backs 'em up.
the mental picture of the two combined is slightly disturbing me tho...eeeew (shouldn't have read this thread confused )

Hmmm, this may require some more thought on my part than I can give it right now (watching anime).
Well, the three I prefer to use in battles (once Aerith has died) are Cid, Vincent and Nanaki. Though that is mostly purely aesthetics rather than tactics, my tactics rely more on materia combinations than the subtle differences in the characters' abilities.
I think a combination of Aerith's healing powers with the long range attacks of Vincent would be good. As said, with another mind in his head, Vincent would have better control over his more powerful forms. Especially if that mind were linked to the Planet in the way Aerith's is. Plus, both are powerful in casters and I tend to use magic more than physical attacks.
