To get HQ items, do both game zones in two cities, each on a different Vana'diel day, preferrably.

there are a lot of misconceptions about how to do this event.
My first piece I got in bastok mines with a tarutaru male partner . He got his first piece in port bastok. He was able to get his second piece in mines, but I kept getting choco tickets. Well he ended up having to go so I partnered up with a hume female friend of mine and we went back to Port bastok cause he (yes he plays a female hume) kept getting choco tickets in mines like I was. We ran it through in port bastok and got our second piece.
To get HQ pieces, you have to go to a different city than where you first did the game. So since we were in bastok, we'd go to windurst, and then san'doria to get the HQ top and HQ shorts.
Note to self: Samurai with AF pants and the swim top look like pirates, so everytime I see them I must say "arrrrr!"
